Which the senate can do when the articles of impeachment are brought to them. If they want to that is...

Depending on which call n7 is referring to he is talking about either Vindman or Holmes.

Both of whom testified. Very not anonymously or secretly. And were cross examined. Which you would know if you actually cared about the evidence.

So far, I haven't seen any evidence that it's anything more than a partisan kangaroo-court farce. If there was any substance to their accusations, they would send them to the Senate for trial.

As it is, they're 'sitting' on the case, crowing that 'the President has been impeached!' when so far, all they have is an indictment they're afraid to submit for trial because they don't control the Senate. They won't be able to control what other facts come to light, either.

I think the House Of Representatives has turned into Room 9-A.

They're not sending it for trial because McConnell went on national television and flat out announced he was rigging the trial on Trump's behalf.

This isn't complicated or unclear.

All he said was, the Senate is not going to rubber-stamp it because they're not controlled by the Democrats. The 'rigging' has already been done, in the House.

The President is impeached. That is what happened in the House and what the House does. The Senate's role is to remove the President from office on the basis of the Houses impeachment. What you are referring to as the indictment is the voted out articles of impeachment.

Especially in our currently highly charged political environment I don't expect the President to be removed. I wish it could be handled in a bipartisan way. But even in more normal times a President has never been removed by this process.

The speaker has said that she will send the articles up when the Senate establishes the rules under which it will proceed. But the majority leader seems to want to use the Senate's procedure into Trumps rubber stamp from which he will claim vindication. So whatever happens to the articles of impeachment, the whole matter will have to be decided by the voters in the fall.

McConnell has openly been coordinating with the White House on the trial process.

And at least one Republican Senator (Graham) has explicitly stated he's partisan.

No. He literally said he was going to run the trial in accord with Trump's legal defense team and there would be no daylight between them.

When you announce that the defendant gets to run the trial that's freaking rigging the trial.

There's aparently been calls from within the GOP to just vote to dismiss. To not bother with an actual trial.

Yep, fair and unbiassed all the way.

Bolton suddenly deciding he is willing to testify in the impeachment after Trump gives him the provocation with Iran he has been salivating over for years is... suspicious timing.
