Challenges WoW 8 *Spoilers*

So David has been teaming up with various other authors to help him with his various projects and universes, and they are doing admirablely. The stories done by his helpers in Challenges have done their jobs well. But, they are NOT his equal,,as he proves quite handily in his contribution to Challenges with his story "Crystal Singer's Song" Without going into details he has told a tale of a survivor of a cargo hauler's crash landing on a temote island far from civilization, where the only inhabitants are a clan of treecats. How she meets them and the way that they develop a mutually advantageous relationship is told with his usual flair. But it's the ending that really got to me. David doesn't deal in emotional relationships very often, but when he does they usually bring tears to my eyes. And this ending was no exception. Not going to give anything away, but I urge you all to get this book, and enjoy this story (and the other fine stories as well) as much as I did.
