N. Korea: beginning of the End
N. Korea has the raw resources to refine uranium into “enriched” uranium that can power electric producing nuclear reactors. The US should sign a twenty (20) year contract to purchase all the enriched uranium they can produce. We can store this enriched uranium to be used in our forthcoming electric generators while giving N. Korea the needed cash to feed its people. This is a win-win situation for N. Korea and the USA. Con: You give them free reign to enrich uranium while boosting their economy and they're going to make more bombs with it 100% guaranteed unless you first remove their entire political leadership and totally remake their entire society and system of government. I feel no need to expand on any other points. You do not hand a collection of absolute nutcases led by a raging delusional narcissist who likes to execute people with anti aircraft cannons the capability to massively expand a nuclear weapons program. |

I said nothing about "free reign"-? Please explain-? and they're going to make more bombs with it 100% guaranteed unless you first remove their entire political leadership and totally remake their entire society and system of government.

There is absolutely no way that Kim and co will relinquish their nukes. They know that it is all that is keeping them alive. Thus allowing (and financing) them to expand uranium mining and enrichment is insane.

" The US should sign a twenty (20) year contract to purchase all the enriched uranium they can produce. " You can't make a deal with them to buy "all the enriched uranium they can produce" without letting them produce all the enriched uranium they can produce. Duh. |

Exactly. Kim has a copy of that video of Daffy Gadaffy being sodomized with a bayonet that he watches every day. The lesson to Kim is "Libya surrendered his nukes and his reward was to have Hillary fuck him in the ass with cold, sharp steel." |

Basically yes. And considering the US nasty habit of demanding things like "you must fulfill your part of agreement completely, and then we may think about fulfilling some of our promises at some point in the future" - who could blame him for being cautious? Basically the situation is: * North Korea: If you want us to surrender our nukes, do something for us first, so we could see that you are honest. * USA: How outrageous! You should believe our word, and even if we would not hold our promises to you, you have no right to be dissatisfied! ------------------------------

Any "solution" to North Korea requires China's consent and probably enthusiastic involvement. Without that, North Korea cannot be starved out, cannot be embargoed, cannot be invaded, cannot be denuclearised.
The price for this cooperation in removing North Korea as a threat? Allowing the PRC to re-annex Taiwan. Not a trade I would make, but that is the scale of concession China would require. |
