Just out today. US childrens gun deaths for 12 months were 3143. University of Michigan did the research. This is 36 times the average for developed countries. Not twice or three times but 36 times.
I originally typed "other developed countries", but then on consideration dropped the "other". I anticipate fly and smr throwing up Syria, Lebanon and Mexico to rebut this.

I point out thousands of innocent young lives lost, and you come back with a cheesy slogan. I'm still at a loss to see how a bunch of disorganised rednecks having guns ensures personal freedom for a large country with an enormous standing army.

The true irony being that the 2nd was phrased that way to allow southern states to put down slave revolts.

It is literally a pro-slavery amendment.
It literally did not aply to all of "The People", nor has it ever been the blanket untouchable rule that gun nuts claim it is.

Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! The English tried to seize the American Armories and Cannons. They also tried to implement Gun Control even then from a certain perspective.

To be specific they weren't the American Armories and Cannons at the time, but British assets illegally seized by insurgents.
