Did you have a point?

That the US is 6:th on the list of homicides committed?

TFLYTSNBN wrote:Even you should be smart enough tounderstand that the proper metric is homicide rate, not total homicides without context of population.

African-Americans comprise 1/8 of the US population yet they commit over 1/2 of all homicides and nearly 2/3s of gun homicides. African Americans are LESS likely to own guns than whites. Anyone with a brain would underatand that these statistics confirm that the problem is people rather than guns.

Anyone with a brain would understand that the real problem is due to socio-economic politics (historically and current) which disenfranchise black people.

And what are your basis for the demographics of the refugees?

MAKE LATIN AMERICA GREAT.

You mean the current political systems that are propped up by the USA among others?

The Latin American people have demonstrated that they are perfectly capable of turning their countries into Third World Shit Holes all by themselves. Just look at Venezualla. Obama and Clinton did NOT incite the coup in Hondurus. The aspiring dictator that was overthrown would have made the country even worse than it is now.

It's only 9.

And only North Korea aquired them after the cold war ended.

South Africa actually removed them after it ended.

So really, the number hasn't actually changed.

We have a current example how good it works with Cuba. Instead of encouraging Cuban government for its reform attempts, the current course of US policy here is to screech "NOOOOOT ENOOOOOUG!!!" and punish them for not immediatelt doing everything US wanted.

Unfortunately for Washington, Cubans aren't the nation that bend easily for outsiders. Not for Spanish, not for Americans. Even USSR, who was considered Cuban best friend, was forced to be very careful to not rub them the wrong way.

I would be content to remove sanctions from Cuba for as long as they refrain from granting basing rights to any country besides the US. Then I could get decent cigars again as well as rum.

Frankly, if US did not impose sanctions on Cuba after Castro cape to power, he would not go to USSR for help. Castro was reluctant to cut the ties with USA - he perfectly recognized that it would not benefit the Cuban peoples - but America literally forced him to the USSR by imposing harsh embargo.

Not only did the Castro brothers confiscate the property of US citizens as well as wealthy Cubans, they unleashed Che Hoverra (spelling?) And his psychopaths to commit mass murder. Cuba then aggressively exported Marxism at the barrel of a gun.

I need only point to the ongoing carnage and misery in Venezuela to support the righteousness of oppossing communism. Most Latin American countries are with struggle finding the middle road between autocracy and socialism.

Considering that this property was basically stolen from majority of Cubans by corrupt government officials and US-favorable trade treaties? :) You could saw this as a long-delayed justice.

One problem. During all Castro rule - and he lived pretty long, despite the frantic efforts of CIA to kill him (yeah, CIA truly embarrassed itself on Cuba numerous times...), he executed much LESS peoples than Batista during his short regime.

Cuba then aggressively exported Marxism at the barrel of a gun.

Nah. They started to do that only because USSR wanted to have something from Cuban deals too. Basically, they were our best proxies, like Israel was for USA. They allow us to send thousands of highly-trained Cuban soldiers anywhere we want and claim that the USSR have no direct involvement. :) Yeah, our Party leaders were as cunning as yours during Cold War)

Nah. Venezuela is just an example of demagogue who came to power by using socialistic rhetoric, but hardly implementing any real socialistic means. You could dislike ol' Cuban leaders, but you must admit one thing - they really wanted the best for their peoples, and managed to do quite a lot of that (Cuban healthcare is, to put it simply, one of the best in the world - the medical personnel is trained to highest standards, the newest medical technologies are brought & implemented regardless of monetary costs, and they are available to everyone. That's how the REAL public medicine should be done). Neither Fidel nor Guevara were interested in any personal luxury.

Current & past Venezuela "socialist" leaders are just a bunch of greedy populists, who just want to steal a lot of money for themselves and blame "capitalists" for their own corruption & incompetence.

Riddle me this.

What happens when an armed black on duty security guard apprehends a shooter and restrains him until the police arrive?

The cop that fired should be tried for murder depending on the circumstances.

Here's how that goes with 99% certainty:

Cop: "I was in fear for my life"

--->Case dismissed
