For 2015 at least... but that proportion generally tends to hold up over time.

Actually the christians are killing hundreds of people continually in the middle east. If they aren't then all the airstrikes are being wasted. That's the whole point of assametric warfare.
Any killing of innocent people is wrong, but mainland US doesn't seem to have an overall outbreak of muslim terrorism. We are commerating the 100 years since the Somme, 20,000 British soldiers died on the first day. That is a significant death toll.

What makes you think the people now running our government are Christians? Their actions?

The violent crime rate in the United States keeps plummeting to levels not seen in generations, as do firearms accidents, and rifles of all kinds were used for criminal homicides in just 248 cases in 2014, in a nation of more than 322 million.

When Murray was questioned by a local reporter to cite any examples of former service weapons being used in crimes, he came up blank – but that didn’t stop him from creating a problem for his solution.

Of course, keeping us safe is not the goal of the politicians or the gun grabbers or anyone else who would deign to make your choices for you. If they wanted to keep us safe, they would institute “doctor control.” Doctors kill almost a million soon-to-be-born babies a year and more than 1 million more Americans die each year of iatrogenic deaths (doctor or hospital error) and adverse reactions from prescription drugs. The total number of annual homicides using all means (less than 12,000) pales in comparison to doctor-caused deaths.

Karl Rove recently commented about repealing the second amendment.

Do other people think that's as dangerous as it sounds?

Which "people" running the government are you referring to? There are rather a lot of them you know.

But for the most part, I don't see their actions as being much out of line with the general level of conduct I observe in most Christians in society... so yeah...

Or in the wider context of those levels as compared to what they are across the developed world, those rates in the US are descending from "ludicrous" to "horrible".

We have "doctor control".

Doctors regularly engage in activities where there is necessarily a high risk to the life and health of their patients (that's why they're seeing a doctor often enough) so we have all kinds of controls around who is allowed to practice as a doctor in case you hadn't noticed.

Just because this needs pointing out. To all those people who keep arguing the 2nd exists to allow the people to have guns to resist the government when they think the government has turned against them?

Dallas is what that looks like in practice.

Still think that's what the 2nd is for and that it's such a hot idea?

Dallas is also the result of all the exercise of free speech by organizations like BLM guaranteed by the Fist Amendment. Still think the First Amendment is a good idea?

Oh bullshit it is. BLM didn't call for police assassinations and if they had it would not have been covered under their first amendment rights and nobody here has been making arguments that the 1st *should* cover a right to call for the death of government officials if you get angry at the government.

People have been repeatedly throwing around claims that the 2nd WAS intended for exactly the acts performed in Dallas however. Using your guns to take up armed resistance to government authorities when you feel those authorities have become the enemy... Dallas is what that looks like when someone actually does exactly that.
