"Wiki" says they have discovered nearly 2000 extra solar planets. So far it appears that NONE of them would even be remotely suitable for mankind. But they have also found that perhaps many more smaller, dimmer stars could also have earth like planets ... they just have not yet seen any.

1st of all, dont forget that it´s easier to detect BIG planets, meaning that most of what is being found so far are planets like our own gas giants, preferably much closer to the star.

2nd, lots of those "discovered" are not confirmed yet. Occasionally one of those "planets" are found to be something else, like an odd star or something, causing what made it look like there was a planet there.

And 3rd, even now there are a few planets that if they are what they look like, could definitely support life as we know it.

And 4th, that´s the thing, "life as we know it" may have zero relevance, life on earth might be the exception to the rule, we can´t know that until we have actually explored a bundle of planets elsewhere and either find something to compare with, or a distinct and constant absence of anything living.

So, what about UFOs? If they are spacecraft from someplace else, where did they come from? Right now we are kinda like the blind mouse trying to figure out an elephant by just touching one toe. But I suppose practically anything is possible or probable. Are seeing something or nothing?

Problem with UFO "sightings" is that over 99% are just crap, people seeing things that are not there, or seeing things as if they were something drastically different.
As an example, how many people understand that a mirage is not something you only see in the desert? That in fact, hot spots in cities (where asphalt or concrete heated by the sun earlier) can generate mirages as well. And in a city there´s plenty of lights and stuff to have people think they´re seeing some weird shit.

And then there was the guy that experimented with his "lightshow" hat. 1m diameter. And when he went out for walks with it at night, reports of UFOs gushed in, reporting anything up to objects hundreds of meters big.
Just from his 1m hat. Tells you something about how unreliable an average UFO report is.

I still think we may be the only act around right now.

Maybe, maybe not. We just don´t know until we can actually travel or sense across the stars.

Oh please get a grip...mathematical odds and probability say we are not alone. Our own history throughout the world (humanity's history) shows some type of interactions with ET's. These are the same beings that seem to use nuclear reactors to charge their own ships. Also, they seem to deactivate nuclear missiles throughout the world.

How they get here? Don't know

What is their agenda? unknown

Why don't they reveal themselves? maybe they have

On August 10,2014: Life (Plankton) was found on the windows of the ISS. Air currents were ruled out. It's possible they came on a launch from Kennedy. The theory is that a plume from a comet shielded the plankton from cosmic radiation.

Oh, come on....
The probability of extraterrestial life somewhere in the universe: high, given the recent discoveries regarding the abundance of exoplanets.
Interactions of (prehistoric) humans with intelligent (!) aliens, however, can be summarily excluded. Given the formidable obstacles physics imposes on interstellar flight (and the absence of intelligent life in the Solar system with the possible exception of Earth), we wouldn't need to speculate if we had had "visitors".
And by the way: we should be happy this is the case. With the kind of resources interstellar flight requires, there's only one reason you'd embark on it: settlement. In this case: likely settlement of Earth...

Actually, aliens were here quite often, using Earth's volcanoes as repositories of souls of those who had annoyed their governments.
It must be true, it's in the writings of a certain religion...

...which oddly bears a startling resemblance to the screenplay for the never-produced film "Revolt in the Stars"...

Well, it -was- written as scifi book once upon a time, and you know, people writing fiction often get inspiration from others...

Or maybe the film was simply meant as a cheap knockoff of the book...

That's OK Tenshinai, hmmm....when our own leaders here in the America's and other world leaders abroad have talked about aliens and ufos....I guess you lose a ton of credibility by mocking.:o Multiple governments openly acknowledge the alien/ufo issues and are currently studying them. The US government does not deny their are ufo's anymore. The US government does not comment on ufo's period.

Did Tenshinai watch the show about the Phoenix lights?

Just scroll back a few posts, their is a link to the show on You Tube or watch the documentary on Netflix. So take the time to watch the documentary from beginning to the end and I will be happy to seriously discuss the subject but if you are just trolling what's the point of browsing this forum.

We all know and understand that there is the possibility that space aliens have been watching us for many many years. It is also possible that they are so advanced that we mostly do not understand or know that they are infact observing AND twicking us for unknown future needs.

Perhaps they have been here for tens of thousands of years and are slowly guiding us. Developing us. For what I do not know for sure, but I can imagine many reasons why just fine. Kinda goes hand with hat regarding human history. It might explain many things indeed. But ... this is all just a possibility. Remember some of them would be very advanced indeed.

And there may be more than one set of players here? Likely? No. A possibility? Oh yeah. HB

Somethmes the evidence is very compelling. That is why this subject is so cool. Practically everything is a possibility.

Just what part of "Eyewitness reports aren't reliable" do you have problems with?

Which part of "Produce some evidence that can be verified independently and openly" gives you trouble?
