The POV of Harold Styles when he got back to civilization and realized that all the claims Harrington made were true, and then some. And then again while he was resigning.

How did Styles feel when he realized that he had finally made it back to, the Honor-verse?!

Talk about getting off with a slap on the wrist.

Edit:
Picture this. Harold Styles' first few weeks experience with an HD, after being so long on Hades. Every broadcast, even before the escape, had to do with Honor, something about Honor. After the escape, Honor. Honor. Honor. If not Honor. The Salamander. The Salamander. The Salamander. Little kids want to be Honor. Officers and Snotties want to serve with Honor. All discussions in his social circle are all about Honor. Poor guy is probably a druggie by now.

Oh yea, he's most likely stoking it with the Stilties.

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

You know, I'd really like the POV of Elizabeth, that first raw POV, when she initially heard that Honor was a preggie and Hamish was told "Alexander of Whitehaven, you are the father!"

Consider this POV.

After a particularly successful romp in the hay with my fiancée, and she's lying there all smiling and satiated, she often tells me "You give me such powerful emotional releases as well. And then she cuddles and cries. I can't properly convey to you how that affects my emotional state! If it's ever happened to any of you 'accomplished' males out there, you know.

Can you imagine Nimitz' POV, when Honor's eyes are rolling around in their sockets and her 'emotional' state is spiking on and off the chart during coitus-dontinterruptus?

Poor Nimitz is "Oh, for the sake of The People, please make it stop!"

Oh yes! Probably something like ...
:o Hot damn, did she dooo tha-at?!

Followed by a dry comment of something like "I do not want that woman ANGRY at me. EVER. Not on a cold day in that Planet Formerly known as Hades. Side note: include that in the Haven Officer Training survival course."

All my posts are YMMV, IMHO, and welcoming polite discussion, extension, and rebuttal. This is the HonorVerse, after all

My sentiments exactly, as I posted some time ago. At least a "Sure glad you're on our side."

I am so, so torn.

On the one hand, I want more of Allen Higgins.

On the other hand, the only two times he's turned up as a POV character, he's been used, abused, traumatized, and generally spat upon by the universe, and the poor man needs a break!!

So what I want is Allen Higgins not being sent straight back to therapy.

Unless that therapist is a beautiful - single and searching - friend of, perhaps, an Allison Harrington? Who woos him, cares for him, patches him up then sends him back out into the world to worry about more dangerous things like, well ... love?

By the way Rose, could it be that Higgins was assigned HMS Inconceivable because it was inconceivable that he'd ever have another peaceful night's sleep?

I'd like the raw POV of Prince Justin when Elizabeth first accepted Eloise's offer of truce-and-ally.

"Who are you and where's my phriggin' wife?!"

POV of Roger, "She's acting under compulsion!"

Ariel, "My mind is blank!"

POV of every one else ...

:o
:o
:o
:o
:o

...

POV of Elizabeth, "All of you, do shut up. Can't a Queen change?"

"No!"

"No!"

"No!"

...

Elizabeth, "Oh shut up!"

Right then - Allen Higgins rescues the tormented Harrington House chipmunk, and together they find comfort and companionship (no! not THAT way!!) and a sense of peace.
