Cauldron of Ghosts
When President Pritchard had notified him of her decision to transfer Cachat, Wilhelm’s reaction had been: You mean I can go back to running a spy outfit, instead of being a lion tamer?

Cachat descriptions aren't bad either.

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

Zilwicki heaved his massive shoulders. For someone built along normal human rather than dwarf lord lines, that would have been a shrug.

I simply love all descriptions of Zilwicki. Always for me, Fantastic Four's Thing comes to mind.

But who the heck could play him on the big screen?

I always figured that they could get somebody from the WWE. A bunch of them have the physique for it, and all of them have acting experience. And they should have the budget for it, if it makes it that far.

I thought that "Thing" was from the Addams Family, not Fantastic Four

The Addams Family first aired in '64. Fantastic Four Issue #1 was in '61. Not your age, just that you prefer television over comics.

Actually Chris, technically I think you are right.
In the Adam's Family it's Thing.
In Fantastic Four it's The Thing.
My apology.

Considering the search that was made for a suitable actor to play Al Giordano (exact same body type in the books) when Cussler's Sahara was made into a movie, and the relative budgets, I've got to say time to punt, and do a CGI body overlay, a LOTR style dwarf suit, or accept that it isn't happening and find someone who brings out the attitude and is reasonably beefy.

All these arguments about "The" "Thing", and nobody brings out the obvious original source?!?!???

How about the 'classic' thing?: the thing from the black lagoon?

[Estelle] positioned the gleaming medal carefully, then looked up at him and—in a gesture Helen was certain hadn't been formally choreographed—touched him very gently on the cheek.

Rose, would you mind activating the transponder on this bogey? Please. Someone. Anyone.
