In chapter 2 of _In Fury Born_, it is stated that the League Wars lasted from 2450 to 2510 (60 years). In _Governor_, the war has so far lasted 56 years and from chapters 27 and 28, the year appears to be 2551. So, which is right? Or if the year is really 2506, why is the class described as "class of 2551"?

In the military a class is not done by year. Some time the yr might be somewhere in the class. But usually it is a progression from one class to the other. In the book it looks as if they pick up recruits once a yr. but they also do the numbering by say each world has a number starting with 01 and then moving up, and each class is a yr. so from new Dublin they might be to 25th planet basic training school and this is the 51 call to graduate and be sent to on to advance training. So you maybe right they screwed up the yrs or as I said this is a possible explanation
