Ahhhhhh.
So good. Weber fix... Between this and the HFQ snippets, I am sustained for another couple months until the full HFQ book arrives! Thank you. Thank you. THANK YOU RFC! Stay healthy... I NEED more from you to feed my Honor-Bahzell-Merlin addiction. |

I'm a little confused at how a prince and War God Champion and a princess and War Maid Commander ended up running a tavern in Belhaden, and also could someone explain the time frame? How long is it since the war where Champion Viajon, the Hradani, Dwarves and West Riding Sothoii worked and fought together to build the canal and killed the three demons?

SPOILERS!!! Call it, seriously. It's been something around 90 years. According to the text, Bahzell and Leanna are running a tavern/inn to give Gwynna a place where she won't be an outsider to grow up. It was only spoken of once, and not in a detailed fashion. Hopefully we will, at some point, get more info on what happened during the timeskip. Possibly some sort of anthology, or even just in infodumps. |

I know I'm a "little" behind most of the rest of you, but I'm nearly finished reading "Sword of the South" for the first time and I have to say I thoroughly am enjoying it.
RFC, I can see you've played more than a little D&D in the past, the trip through the maze reminds me very much of some that my player characters have had to fight (and die) in. 2 high level fighters (1 a cleric of Tomanak), an assassin/ranger and a very high level Wizard ... lots of fun there. Like I say, I am enjoying the story sir, very much. ****
Just my opinion of course and probably not worth the paper it's not written on. |

They wanted those who would be trying to save her life, to know the person they were trying to save. Or, in other words, to realise she is human - to translate it to our world.
And as said, they only place she had a chance, or so they considered, was at the mage academy. |
