How Did They Get Out? (Spoilers!)

I admit it, I'm kind of curious about that.

There they are, down in the "dungeon", half the party beaten up and unable to fight. Sure, Kenhoden has a cool new sword, but there's only one of him. PLUS, as a Champion of Tomanak, it's kind of Bahzell's job to clear out the kind of nasties that are lurking around here.

So, what do they do? Even heading back to Walsharno for healing means fighting their way through one or more monsters. Go back, get healed up, then head back to the maze? Get healed up, then knock on the front door of the castle, and inform them that their Baroness is dead? Or, does Kenhoden just clear out everything with his kick tail sword while they're down there, and march up inside the castle?

Inquiring minds want to know! :mrgreen:

Well with their controller dead a lot of the most powerful things like the iron golems simply are non functional. The others are likely now unbounded and either rampaging against each other or trying to flee. Also with the sword of the south active and moving pretty sure nothing in that maze that gets a sniff of that power is going to want to have anything to do with the parties containing it.

It was basically a matter of getting the sword would make getting back out trivial or they would never be able to fight their way back out if they had not gotten it.

When exactly did they get put in a dungeon, none of hte posts i read, mentioned this. So where is this new part?

It's not in the snippets. It's later on in the actual book/E-ARC.

Definitely worth a read of the full book, Syed - answered a good few of the speculations on here, and opened up a whole heap more.

Now I want the next book!
