The Glossary for ROAD TO HELL explains that the Mythalans
have connected the Nile and Zambezi Rivers.
Thus, both of them are the Mythal River!

(Map-addict wonders if they also connect with the Congo River,
which passes between the headwaters of the Nile and Zambezi.
Or, they might connect via Lake Tanganyika. Or both.

MYTHAL RIVER DISCREPANCY explained in ROAD TO HELL Glossary.
Arcana: Mythal River
Glossary says Mythal is Arcana's analog to Nile River.
Mythal Falls is on Arcana's Zambesi River.
I have been relying on this.

HG p447 says the Mythal River flows over Mythal Falls.
This would mean that the Mythal is the Zambesi River.
That seems to leave Arcana's Nile without a name.
Unless, of course, Mythal has two "Mythal Rivers!" :)

OnTheOtherTalon, on p740 Gadrial tells Shaylar that
Battle Dragons were made by combining Transport
Dragons with "Mythal River crocodiles."
Did anyone ever hear of crocs on the Zambesi River?
They are well-known Nile River creatures.

So this is a Textev Discrepancy, not just a Glossary one.

according to Wikipedia:
The river supports large populations of many animals. Hippopotami are abundant along most of the calm stretches of the river, and many crocodiles are also present. Monitor lizards are found in many places. Birds are abundant, with species including heron, pelican, egret and African fish eagle present in large numbers. Riverine woodland also supports many large animals, such as buffalo, zebras, giraffes, elephants.

The Zambezi also supports several hundred species of fish, some of which are endemic to the river. Important species include cichlids which are fished heavily for food, as well as catfish, tigerfish, yellowfish and other large species. The bull shark is sometimes known as the Zambezi shark after the river but is found around the world.

The Cast List in ROAD TO HELL,
and the expanded Cast List on Baen's Bar,
both omit many characters, especially Arcanan soldiers.

OTOH, some people are listed twice.

HTM, who promises to catch up with these lists RealSoonNow

Keith, once upon a time,
Mapmakers put crocodiles on their Maps.
They also put dragons, manticores, gryphons, sea serpents,
and other wild beasts on them.
Those days are long gone.
It has been many years since I saw a wild beast on a Map.

What I referred to was the Map of the rivers of Africa.
The headwaters of the Nile are far to the north of the Zambisi.
In between is the northward-flowing part of the Congo,
and all of Lake Tanganyika. Now that Mr. Weber has told us
that Mythalans have made a water link between Nile & Zambisi,
we can see that crocodiles (and other beasts) have a route
from one to the other.

The next question is:
are the Congo and the long lake included in the system?

"HG 087 - Darjiline Mines, an iron mine, Sharona
.. near trans-temporal site of Buffalo, NY "

Curiously, their geology is much different from ours, in that the New York State iron resources (taconite) are not in Buffalo, but way downstate on the other side of the Hudson.
