What are some of the alternative points of view you would like to see more of in the Path of the Fury universe.
I would love to have had Belkassen's reaction to a simple query from Alicia if her pardon from the emperor covered all of her actions from her breakout from custody to return to the Soissons system and when he said yes - mentioned the lifting of $350 million from the drug dealer. I would love to have been a bug on the wall during the conversation between said drug dealer and the contact he thought had robbed him. And the Emperor's reaction when he discovered just what he had amnestied. ========================

I doubt the Emperor will be troubled by the discrete fleecing of a drug dealer guilty of multiple capital crimes. Amused perhaps.

I'm sure he would be amused, and perhaps slightly terrified on what he has just loosed on the galaxy. ========================

Nah, it would be classified under 'anti-criminal operations' as part of an attack on organised crime in the sector.
After all we know that the Justice Department carryout Black ops in this verse. |

True enough, but if she should "turn to the dark side", she could do incalculable damage, and should lead to a slight sense of terror, and there is always the danger that, as she did in this case, she will decide that she can be judge, jury, and executioner. That is a very dangerous precedent in a free society, such as the one he currently heads. ========================

Under which case she would have the entire Empire and all of its forces, overt and covert, after her rear. Alicia is smart enough to realize that the Empire would never allow her to be a rogue agent for very long. |

Since the "crime" occurred outside of the Empire, the Emperor would not be able to pardon Alicia for it. Except to the extent that the proceeds may have traversed the Empire (or Empire based networks) on their way to their final destination. Or to deny any extradition requests from the affected jurisdiction. |

And the Emperor might also smile and say, "you realize that's taxable income, right?"

Oh, that's COLD. But I'm sure that Tisiphone would make sure the idea was squashed long before it ever slipped out. Tony
