The Date from Hell. Dum-dugh-pum!

If there's no thread full of bad jokes, I'll have nowhere to post my GOOD jokes :)

What do you call a person who opens a thread he/she doesn't like?

I don't know.

But, it seems kind of needy to have the thread killed just because you can't skip it without feeling like Sheldon when he is interrupted before completing his third knock.

I'm not saying kill it. All I'm saying is let it die. Stop posting stupid empty posts just because it gets to the second page.

If you have something good to post, sure fine, post it. If its just to fill space, skip it.

Stake it!

Or at least stop sticking empty posts on it.

I admit I have to be in the right mood to look at that thread; most of the time I'm not interested. And when I do look not all the jokes work for me.

But it's easy enough to simply not click on the thread except when I'm in the mood. <shrug>

Pokermind, if you enjoy keeping it going then I'd say go for it.

But even when Duckk stakes something, it tends to come back Out Of The Dark like a vampire. Nothing on these forums seems to stay dead.

<David Weber quotes him once on Twitter and he needs a larger beret.>

Chief, "Now, now, he posts good ones, when he posts. He also has the distinction of being threatened with a duel over one Honoverse Humor page 8:

First, we must remember that the Star Empire of Manticore's existence is based entirely on the Manticoran Junction. Without the Junction, not only would the older Star Kingdom have been ploughed under by the Havenite forces, but there would never have been any reason for the Kingdom to expand into Basilisk, Trevor's Star or Lynx. Indeed, it would not be too much of a stretch to say that the Star Empire of Manticore should be considered the "Wormhole" empire.

Second, we must remember that much of the Star Empire of Manticore's wealth and power is based on its carrying trade. The Royal Manticoran Navy's very existence is based on that carrying trade, which means that wherever the Merchant Marine goes, the Empire goes with it. It is in fact safe to say that the Star Empire of Manticore "roams" over all known space.

With that in mind, I suggest that the Star Empire of Manticore should be renamed:
The Holey, Roamin' Empire.

Werrf, one more crappy Robin joke like that and I will challenge you to a duel(Ellington Protocol). Will Fly act as my second?

<True. But then I have been offered lobster to space you. Shame we're planet side on Grayson.>

May we have some other options, please?
Such as:

Wait for others to post in it.

It's your thread, follow your whimsey.

Now that it's here, it's no longer yours; it
belongs to Weber, Duckk, and Gina.

No opinion.
