I also send my wishes for a speedy recovery, and especially one without complications.

I don't think we have heard the reason for the need for this round of surgery, unless I missed it; was she developing flatback syndrome (my WAG, as you mention the L3-L5 region) or was it immune-related like KarenH's husband, or something else?

Sharon is again recovering s David explained in Safehold Forum:

runsforcelery wrote:Hi, Guys —

I’m doing the final pass submission edit on Like a Mighty Army and should have it turned in by around March 5. I’d have had it in by the end of February if it hadn’t turned out to that Sharon needed yet another spinal surgery — this one on two weeks’ notice — and if what was supposed to be a 2-day stay in the hospital hadn’t turned into 6 days after a 2-hour surgery turned into a 5.5-hour surgery. What with drives back and forth to Atlanta, that chopped about 3 weeks right out of my writing schedule at a very inconvenient time.

Nonetheless, I am just about finished with it, and I thought I might offer a small tidbit selected from a random page in the manuscript. I will give you one hint, which is that you should look in the cast of characters from A Mighty Fortress.

Don’t say I never gave you anything. :D

[Safehold Snippet Sniped]

Sharron you are again in my prayers for a speedy recovery.
