There are times when Russia’s anti-western actions don’t exactly fall under, what could be construed as having relation to their actions in Ukraine.
Case in point:
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2024/ ... anted-list

Russia puts Estonian prime minister Kaja Kallas on wanted list

She’s accused of ordering the destruction of the statues honoring Russian soldiers. Soldiers, that in 1939; in conjunction with their allies Nazi Germany took possession of her country. And then again in 1945, after WWII re-took it, and kept a jackboot on its neck for close to 50 years.
As if any country; if they had the chance, wouldn’t want to remove any remnants of an authority that held them subjugated for nearly fifty years!

Putin's recent rant justified his aggression on historical control of Ukraine and other areas from many hundreds of years ago.
A retired Mongolian leader has since pointed out that prior to that Mongolia controlled all of Russia.
Thus, using Putin's logic, Mongolia should take over Russia?

By the same argument that he used in justifying the German Invasion of Poland, Nazi Germany was right to invade Russia!?

Logic is not his friend.

This can of course be easily explained by the simple fact that everything Russia does is heroic and good while the same actions done by others are villainous and bad. Having understood this fact there's nothing controversial at all in what Putin says and we should all trust him.

Transnistria: Will Russia's next war be in Moldova?

With Finland and Sweden now safely under NATO’s umbrella it seems that Moldova is the last piece of low hanging fruit, a would-be conquer like Putin can safely pick here in Europe!
If that turns out to be the case, it just remains, will he make a move on Moldova, before trying to take Odessa?

Look at the geography, it seems he want to cut off Ukraine entirely from the Black Sea so it's only a matter of time. My guess is that he's going to consolidate (or at least try) the regions he took from Ukraine plus Transnistria, before pushing through Odessa to Moldova to complete the cut off which in turn means he can support Transnistria directly over land instead of trying to fly support in.

Will he able to do it? I'm not so sure, but it all hinges on how much support we can give Ukraine. What Moldova is going to do about Transnistria is an open question though.

Hi, thought I'd share a fantasy.
What if the lengthy training of Ukranian pilots on F16s was a blind, and they are actually training them on F35s (to be lend leased)?
Would be a shock to the Russian fighter bombers to have missiles launched at them from what seems to be clear air?

…Russia blames West and Kyiv for jihadist massacre…

That Putin and the Kremlin have always been aficionados of the concept of “The Big Lie” is not news. That can be seen in all its glory, in their treatment of the Moscow Massacre!
What started as an attempt to cast blame on Ukraine has now grown to a major conspiracy, involving Ukraine, USA, Great Britain and Islamists!
All without a shred of proof!!!

Goebells had several propaganda rules.
One was to accuse your enemies of what uou intend to do, but first.
Another was never tell a little lie, a big one is more believable, because no one would believe you would have the chutzpah to invent it.
