Fort Trump. NO! NO! NO NO! NO NO! NOOOO!
Suddenly I realize why Rip Van Winkle fell asleep for 20 years. PLEASE! WAKE ME WHEN THIS SHIT IS OVER! Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense |

If we manage to contain the virus by the lockdown and other measures we have taken, then yes the stats look something like a normal flu season. Without those measures however then the doomsday stats come into play. Yes, shutting down the economy over a sustained period is not sustainable. Results become as bad or worse than coronavirus. Where that tipping point is at this time an unanswered question. Don - When any group seeks political power in God's name, both religion and politics are instantly corrupted.

Interesting article in our press today about redneck protests in some states wanting restrictions lifted. A standout was the Texas governor calling for their elderly to sacrifice themselves so everyone could go back to work.
Third world stuff. |

Have they taken leave of their senses over there? And if the elderly says no thank you, we prefer to stay hold up in our homes. What’s going to be the next brilliant idea? Helping them along…all for the good of the country of course!!! https://eu.usatoday.com/story/news/nati ... 905990001/ |

Some of them are batsh*t crazy. Others are simply afraid and don't know how to cope. Their paychecks are gone and they are focusing on that rather than on the threat of the virus which they don't understand. The tragic thing is that were they to get their way, neither problem would be solved. Lifting the restrictions wouldn't help with the pandemic or restore their jobs. It’s so easy for that sociopathic Lt. Governor to call for sacrifice, in that he probably has the wherewithal to hunker down, in spite of his grandiose speech making. Yet the choice for Jo(sephine)-paycheck; living on paycheck to paycheck to pay for food and rent for the family, is much more stark. Face eviction and hunger, or the chance of getting infected by the virus! The fear and uncertainty must be overwhelming. Then to top it all, having a President who instead of being the focal point for co-operation and unity, is so busy playing politics with the crisis, all the while the daily body count keeps rising. Reminiscent of Nero scratching away on his fiddle, while Rome was burning down around his ears! |

Yep, I really admired his ability to manipulate the Democrats into preventing him from pushing through that financial aid package for businesses under the guise of needing to add Social Justice provisions. Maneuvering his enemies to do his own dirty work like that is indeed the mark of a truly Xanatos-level intellect. ~~~~~~

Yep. The problem at the top is worse than the virus because it cripples our ability to deal with anything else that happens along the way. Don - When any group seeks political power in God's name, both religion and politics are instantly corrupted.
