Unless all MA pizza delivery boys have suicide fantasies there is a good possibility an MA messenger bot to Mesa/Visigoth/SOL(Earth) will
surrender his ship

Disagree--there will probably be someone on the ship willing to take it out. (They have plenty--all the Houdini people were thus escorted.)

They might even have crew with nanotech to make them suicide the ship.

Aye. Victor's stunt in CoS illustrates how hard it is to board and seize a ship manned by zealots. Nanozombies are even worse.

Really, that's the only way I could see an Alignment freighter being captured successfully. Someone like Victor talks his way aboard and then shoots everyone in the head, without hestitation.

Because there is no way of telling which particular crew member has been dosed with nanotech programmed to make them dial Leonard Detweiler's birth date into the com system or something like that.

Nanozombies would have to be on the flight deck. You can't make someone do something variable--such as go to a comm panel. You need someone already at the controls.

And if you can get an operative on board for a while you could take it with zero casualties. Doctor the suits on board so after a bit they put their users asleep; then stage a major air-loss or air-contamination accident. Everyone scrambles into their suits and after a bit gets knocked out. A freighter isn't going to have the internal isolation of a warship.

I'm pretty sure most crew members carry a personal com unit. Even if the majority of the crew does not, the officers will.

Those aren't normal slave freighters, like the one Victor boarded - IIRC, its self-destruct button was jury-rigged on the spot. Those are special Alignment transports ready to self-destruct at a moment's notice and they use extraordinarily paranoid security protocols. Even if an operative could generate a plausible reason to board, they wouldn't have the freedom to wander around messing with the enviro systems.

Not to mention All those Darius natives who are being brainwashed into believing they are the shining light of freedom and their system is under attack by the Dastardly manticoran Grand Alliance. You got a whole planet of zealots to draw crews from. Any of which would need no nanotech to trigger the scuttling charges.

If I have it correct Your formula is
100% execution on every MA fail-safe plan - If so "Good Luck" with that Theory.

NOTHING, espeially a person is 100% reliable. Zealots, however, like the G*A*U*L*S*, are more reliable than most. So tellme again that the G*A*U*L*S* would not blow up a ship to protect their mission and I will dig up the textev supporting my statement.

If You wish!!!

1. The "G.U.L."'s are an internal security force not postmen assasins

2.Darius is a planet of 4 bil. Most of whom are non-suicidal non-homicidal clones

3.There are some unhappy Mesan Houdini Residents

Forgive me if I am a bit skeptical about 100% koolaide drinking

I pointed out that self-destruct fuzes on modern ordinance had a failure rate ranging between a few percentage to >20% and asked why the MA wasn't going after missiles that missed at BoM. David said they ALL self-destructed. Not mostly, every single one functioned exactly 100% as planned.

100% past performance on a single or multi-OP does Not equate or ensure 100% of future or planned OP's
