His war with reality seems to be effective 'cause it has everyone off-balanced. I knew they shouldn't have given the SOB the launch codes. He's launching ICBMs against reality!

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

In the news today. When asked about what his administration was doing about the hurricane damage, he spoke about how they were unprecedented and the biggest storms ever recorded, so he was organising the biggest most stupendeous relief efforts.
At another press confrrence he was asked if the storms had changed his view on climate change, and he then spoke about how storms in the 1920s and 1930s were much bigger.
Someone should tell him about how videos of his statements can be kept and compared.

I feel like some here are often perhaps deliberately ignoring the scale of Trump's problem with the truth, or trying to pull an "all politicians lie" false equivalency.

There is no equivalency. Of any kind.

Did you even read the whole article...LOL at you! Hey snowflake please come with facts not feelings. I could spin that articles in so many directions. Please try again with a better opinion than the NYT.

Anyone using the derogative snowflake to attack a poster instead of the argument of the content of the post is sure sign that the responder feels threatened and have no arguments of their own to respond with.

If you can't supply a cogent response, why respond at all?

I did in fact, which you clearly did not.
And while I have no doubt you could spin any fact into a nice little comforting fictional tale it will not change the objective reality that there is a compulsive pathological liar in the White House.

The term "snowflake" seems to be linked to perceived political leanings. Thus anyone who appears to be left inclined is a "snowflake" or a weak person who has to have a "safe place"
to which they can retreat when threatened, while those to the right are lantern jawed tough guys who can take it and give back more.
Just plain ludicrous, as a moment's thought can prove. I hesitate to lump people into left (progressive) and right (conservative) camps, but as a shorthand basis for the discussion. Progressive people like the new and challenging and seek it out, while conservative people are worried by change and fear it. There is actually some research on this using personality type tests that supports the argument. I could invoke Godwin's Law and remind people that Hitler referred to the British as "A nation of shopkeepers" and predicted his jackbooted storm troopers would be in London shortly.

You are to old to be a snowflake Darryl. Snowflakes are young adults that were so overprotected by their parents that they crumple at the least sign of adversity. Lately on college campuses they have been completely unable to tolerate the least hint of a different opinion.

See examples of snowflake like behavior here -

That part I think they'll grow out of (especially since they hate being laughed at at that age). And as they get life experience away from their parents they'll eventually figure out that every little setback is not a tragedy.

The bigger problem is the leftist fringe of this group who can't handle the least little bit of opinion diversity.

These issues are far more problematic than extended immaturity. Suppression of different ideas is very unDemocratic. These guys would be right at home with Stalin.

I laughed hardest at this line in supposrt of the headline claim that "so many Americans are merely transactional citizens ignorant of fundamental facets of the American identity is not just a sign but a root cause of our current social disintegration"

"Fifty-one percent of all U.S. college students believe shouting is an acceptable response to free speech"

OMG! 51% of college students think FREE SPEECH is an acceptable response to free speech!!!

That's just like Stalin!

That called Heckler's veto gcomeau.
