1) 200-300mg of ginseng it is a supposed immunity booster, I call it my placebo pill but it seems to work.


Ginseng is one of the "non-school medicine" that is actually proven to have effects.
It´s more of an energyboost than anything else though.

7) If you drink Soda Pop or fruit juice look at how much sugar is in it. Then find a glass that holds one whole can and fill it with soda water. Start adding teaspoons of sugar till you meet the amount on the lable, most places list this now, or look it up online. After you get to 7 or 8+ teaspoons of sugar you will realise that Soda Pop is just sugar water. Add a squeeze of lemon lime or orange and you will realize what you are drinking is just sugar. Either stop or make your own. Hot or cold tea is a great substitute. Coffee if you need caffeine but use a small cup (ordinary size) not a monster cup. If Pop is your thing make your own and use 2-3 spoons of sugar.


Cutting down on sugar is a HUGE health help for lots of people nowadays.
Ridiculously much sugar in so much "food".

Oh and BTW, do NOT do the mistake of using "sugarfree" replacements, because the stuff used in most of them is even worse than sugar, some of artificial sweeteners are outright near toxic and even considered toxic/dangerous goods when transported.

The current pharmaceutical sledgehammer in that area are statins, in the future maybe anti-PCSK9.

It has occurred to me that you should have had lots of professional advice targeted to your specific condition and situation. If so, by all means take our well meaning advice as possible supplements, but listen to your doctors for the core of your recovery.
I recently had a complex life threatening situation that did include some heart stuff (but quite different to yours), and I have a large folder of the many professional's advice to research from. There were a few contradictions, one cardiologist said I should restrict my fluid intake to lessen strain on my heart, while another said since having a pacemaker fitted it isn't a problem anymore, while my main oncologist says I should drink lots of water to flush out the chemo he is poisoning me with.

Yes, but the thing is that doctors often limit themselves to very narrow specifics, so even things that they DO know about can easily be left out as it is not part of the "official cure".

For example, i mentioned magnesium above, ask doctors and MANY doctors DO know that it´s a good addition if you have heart issues(or almost any kind of muscle issues), but very very few actually actively proscribe it on their own initiative. Because it´s not a "hard cure", it does not have an easy to point out and predictable effect.

It´s still almost guaranteed to have a positive effect(about the only exception is if you have some kind of additional issue preventing it from working correctly (extremely rare), or live somewhere where the food is very rich in magnesium, which as far as i know is pretty much mostly nowhere), and as such well worth trying.

Dang it...your making me hungry Lord Skimper! The local neighborhood Mexican restaurant, here I come to eat! One huge Margarita with chips and salsa with good old beef fajitas as the main course! That thought has cleared my dry mouth! :lol:

In all seriousness, their is heavy duty vitamin C tablet that is encase in fat to deliver the maximum benefit. The reason they encase the vitamin in fat is to allow most of the vitamin to be absorbed without being destroyed by stomach acid.

Unlike us poor slobs who have to search the internet, your doctor has access to the actual medical journals and specialists etc.

The medical journals can be searched on pubmed (USA national library of medicine) located here

Most articles more than 1 year old are free. For the others you may need to drive to your nearest university. Most will let the general public use their library computers ( but not all so you may want to call before you drive). Also most of the authors of the articles will send you the article if you email them and ask. Contact info for the lead author is usually in the abstract on the pubmed listing.

Do carefully Googling, being cynical about much of the rubbish out there. My understanding is that heart attacks are often caused by inflammation and/or blocked arteries. I'm using a similar pattern. This is one of our reasons for spending time gardening as it lets the F&V be absolutely fresh. At present, we are putting out and planting cool weather crops. Also, I'm recycling some clear plastic, with bricks, etc. on top to prevent blowing around. This should help with the warm weather crops in a few weeks.

FWIR, a few people have conquered a case of cancer by going to a sugar free, low starch diet. This is very hard to do today! Make it a point to actually read the ingredients on cans, bottles, and packages

Interesting, but what is the brand name? I did a search, but didn't find it. There is also a reversa(something) with a protection for better digestion.
I'm currently experimenting with the "apple cider vinegar tea & garcinia pill" before breakfast idea. There hasn't been much weight loss (yet), but I've noticed a higher energy level

Oh there´s any number of things that has effects against something but isn´t allowed to be used as medicine, with reasons anywhere from "company thinks it wont sell enough to make up for the cost of getting it legally registered" to "unable to explain effect" or "unable to establish a baseline of effect(ie large differences between patients in how effective it is)" etc etc.

If you´re interested in checking out uncommon or unofficial medical stuff, Germany is pretty much usually the place to start looking(with Netherlands 2nd best).

Nootropics are good if you need a brain boost. Just make sure you get enough of an active ingredient boost. Some Nootropics have the right ingredients but not enough instead covering everything up with a caffeine boost. Essentially they sell caffeine disguised as a Nootropic.

Walk places, most of us in our youth have walked many places and distances. When you get older it is a challenge to keep walking this far. Try walking to pick up one or two items instead of driving. Talk the bus for longer distances.

Loose weight, do this by stop buying sugar. Buy a little bit for tea but limit the amount you buy. Cut your dairy way down. Try a soya milk alternative. I'm quite partial to Silk, Vanilla is my preferred choice.

Potato chips, plain, are good if you are sick. But only if you are sick.

Remember aspirin? carry a couple with you. Take them if you feel it is necessary but limit yourself to one at a time and no more than twice a day. If you are thinking your having a heart attack half way through your youthly walk chew both call a taxi or Uber and make a doctors appointment. If you are having a heart attack, chew both and call 911.
