This is not a thread for addressing the big issues in life, it's for those little things that bug you.

I'll start with the way that nature programs anthropomorphize animals. They give them cute names and describe their behavior from a human frame of reference. We are not meerkats and they are not us. It's pointless and potentially dangerous to describe wild animals in ways that make them seem "accessible".

I had a friend whose forearms were a mass of scars acquired when he tried to feed treats to a "cute" raccoon, and I've seen a man who taunted a black bear and lost one side of his face.

Here in Florida, a woman recently went to court for the right to keep her 8-foot alligator "pet". That's going to end in tears.

So what little issues bug you?

Now you've really gone and started something...

Politicians that call stuff 'free' because the government pays for it

Idiots that race up to a stop light when it has already turned red

Idiots that just sit there after the light turns green

'Creepers' - the ones that slooooooowly creep out into the intersection while the light is red

Cell phone junkies that just have to monkey with the thing while they're supposed to be driving

Even worse was the guy who passed us on I-10 at night. He had a vid screen on the dash and was watching porn at 80 MPH. You KNOW he was driving one handed. :o

I could post pages on bad driving habits such as tailgating or speeding up when you start to pass.
Like people who like use the word like often whether you like it or not. Airline passengers who recline abruptly and leave it there for the whole flight. Companies who change the contract terms to "improve our service to you" while cheating you even more.

Here's another one from my own experience. I stop at a convenience store to get something to drink. At the front of the checkout line is a guy with a sheaf of scratchoff lottery tickets. Out of $75 worth of tickets, he's won $18. So he uses the $18 to buy more tickets and stands at the register scratching them off as the line grows behind him. Oh, look, he's won another $9! Buys more sctatchoffs with his winnings and stands there scratching them off. The line is now 17 people, not counting the 11 who laid down their merch and walked out. My drink is now room temperature.

People who stop and chat in entrances thus blocking everyone else.
People who shop and starts looking for their wallet etc AFTER the teller told them what the amount to pay is.
Tailgaters.
People who consistently drive under the speed limit and brakes when there are traffic in the oncoming lane.
People who thinks that the little lever for signalling a turn is something you order extra when you buy a new car.
People who have no clue that they are driving around with their high-beams on the whole time.

Jack of all trades and destructive tinkerer.

Anyone who have simple solutions for complex problems is a fool.

The idiot driving the inside (of 4) lanes on I-205, usually a Mercedes or Hummer 3 that casually flips on his right turn signal and cuts all the way over to the exit only lane and jumping the curb to make his exit.

The snow plow operator that dumps all that snow in my drive as soon as I finally got it shoveled out and am backing out of my driveway. With the camber in the road and the slope on my drive, that's a meter of snow.

How about the person who joins a social group/organization only for the purpose of finding more clients for their Tupperware, Amway, Herbalife or other MLM business? I have met several of these, and most of them thought that "no, thank you" means "try me again at the next meeting".
