Now, why there will not be any compromise with the left. In Massachusetts is trying to reinterpret their own state gun laws to ban semi automatic pistols, semi automatic rifle, semi automatic shotguns, and few other things to completely disarm the state. Several of the top Democratic officials were on record for getting rid of guns at the convention.

My response is Come and Take it! The start of 2nd civil war is the banning of guns!

To paraphrase...

"Me and those who share my beliefs are willing to use our guns to incite violent rebellion and the deaths of thousands or millions of my fellow countrymen in a civil war if something starts happening I don't like! Why are people uncomfortable with us having guns?"

Because the things that come out of your mouth (or off the ends of your fingers and onto your keyboard). Because that.

It's like some patient in a mental ward getting outraged and confused someone took their pen away and the orderlies having to explain that, well, they did just threaten to stab another patient with it as a means of settling an argument so, yeah, that's why nobody feels good about him having the pen right now.

Back in 1775, less than three percent of our American Colonists wanted to start the shooting. Probably less that that actually picked up a rifled musket or owned a light cannon. Our founding revolution was nasty and bloody. Lots of bad shiet went around and around. Both sides. All sides. Most just wanted to be left alone.

Considering the population at the time, three percent were not all that many. Figuring 10 million armed law abiding citizens today could, if they were forced to, might start a LEGAL revolt. We have probably 100 million armed citizens in the USA and nearly all of them never go out and kill people. A few, but not many. More die by accidents. Many more from cars. Many many more from disease.

There are only about 220,000 legal automatic weapons in the USA. Guess what? Since 1932 there have been only less than six documented crimes committed by these armed citizens using THEIR OWN LEGAL REGISTERED MACHINE GUN. Six times over 80 years. It is a non event. Does not happen. An armed society is a protected and polite society. But then a gun does not have the range or power of sweet and pleasant dreams and false security of nanny states.

It has become apparent that the slaves and sheeple will remain slaves and sheeple. It may be beyond their large comfort zone to even think such reactionary thoughts such as liberty and freedom. If such words piss off the slaves and sheeple so be it. I cut to the mark and let the chips fall where they may.

Respect must be earned. I will not give it out freely. Sosss ... maybe it is NOT true when I say "respectfully" to some on this science fiction literary forum. Some here have not earned it. Take it or leave it. I do not care either way. GUNS GUNS GUNS right in your face. Non respectfully to some.

Respectfully to the rest. An excellent Science Fiction Writers Forum. All Oregon State, US Code Laws And NFA Rules Apply.

Moderator: Consider banning some of this forum's sheeple, slaves and nanny state sit-at-homes. They are so pacified they do not have a clue. Or ... ban me if you want to kill the messenger. I for one have have just about enough shiet here from some. This excellent forum needs to trim back the sub forums.

I am mentally ill for refusing to give up my weapons...great come and take it.

1) My home is my castle...I will defend myself and my family
2) I will never turn in my weapons...my single shot legally owned weapons
3) I live in Texas...we will not become like Mexico

Many of globalist/utopians want everyone in the US to be disarmed. For Gun seizure to happen, they have to go door to door to take the weapons and that means a civil war. Take what happened with the shootings in Dallas. The American government now has the legal right to use a robot to kill a suspect with a bomb...the legal precedent was set! That is the most scary fact of all and most people do not even realize that fact. The legal precedent has been set by the Dallas police department using a robot to drop a bomb to kill a suspect. Where is the outcry from our own media.

As for the comment of being a keyboard warrior...funny that's what I believe you are!

HB and smr,
Lets have a testosterone challenge or an old fashioned pissing contest. You call us slaves and sheeple because we support our government's ban on automatic weapons. There are many ways of asserting your rights without having to have military weapons, and don't forget that if you have the right so does that weird 18 yr old punk kid down the street.

In my personal case my dad and grandad were dectorated heros in WW1 & WW2. I left the service of the Australian army at one star level, having won the Queen's Marksman badge in 1966 and 2008. I've known several of our PMs and GGs (my Canberra Office adjoined our current GG's office when he was Chief of Army). I know weapons and have used them, not just boasted about their possession. My time at Uni was funded by hunting and working as a bouncer.
Stating that other citizens are slaves because they don't believe that they have to own lethal weapons with the express intention of killing their elective officials is just plain nuts.
If you don't respect me and others here because of that view point, so be it. However I've got lots of trophys and certificates attesting to my proficiency with everything from bare hands, to swords, to target rifles, and on to auto military gear. Have you?

You don't even know what the words you're using mean do you?

It is *impossible* to start a "legal revolt". An armed revolt against the legally constituted government is illegal by definition.

And I note you were unable to answer how your little revolution was actually going to work beyond the "bang bang and then everything is magically fixed" level of planning.

Go look up the word "analogy" and when you understand the concept get back to me. Although frankly some of the things you say here do make me wonder if you should be evaluated by somebody with professional training.
