Or something like that...anything larger than a CA was a real pain to track!

Yeah, I'm talking 3rdR/Sky Marshal 2 timeframe (SM2 is a revamp of Imperial SF) Have to post a ship setup later. Even worse, with Galactic/Ultra/Solar Starfire, you can get more hull spaces with later generations of the same hull (SD-i (5th) generation hull is bigger than a MT-a (1st) generation hull)

Glad to see the series is not dead.

On The Other Hand - The tech is getting a little out of hand. You can only go bigger, better, stronger, faster for so long until it approaches ridiculousness and SDVT's are pretty much there already...

Annother reason I think doing some novels set in the pre-Crusade wars is a very good idea. They keep this up they'll soon be into Warp capable Dahak Battle Moon territory.

Do we know if this book comes with a map, new one, old one, or one that is the combination of previous maps? There are there map, the one found in both extremis and exodus, the maps for the bug invasion, and i think one for the first book.
I found some good maps that show the systems involved in the bug war and crusade. if only there was a map that linked all the systems we see action in.

There are likely some systems the ark ships are heading to currently not on the warp point network, so they might needto establish warp points there to allow easier tavel to link the races.

Per the blurb, this is dealing with the second Dispersal Fleet, so I would assume a new system map would be in the offering. However, per what What's-her-name the Arduan said at the end of Extremis, they've 'lost contact' with most of the other fleets, she could only 'see' the second one...

The official maps available are the ones in Shiva, Exodus and the big one from the FAQs.

Here is the info dump page.

Here is the map

The starless warp points are in the space between systems. So any expeditions similar that won the war would be launched from here. I was just thinking it could allow them to reach fleets that are not heading to system on the current warp point network.
I wonder just how many allied systems are likely to get a refuggee fleet.

Wait, no. The 'Starless Nexi' are NOT in-between the other systems. Depending on the polity, they either have number/letter IDs like K45, JF12, etc or they have names. Also, this system map is NOT based on 'real-world' locations of the systems in the Galaxy. Remember in Exodus when Li Han and Magda were looking at the map? How crazy it looked after reverting to real-world locations? Plus, I think there's no more Arduan expeditions other than the 2 (Based on the end of Extremis), but possibly something else is coming...

I think Exodus established there were seven waves launched, with the seventh too late to escape the nova. So half a dozen in all - and each successive wave's overall capabilities were improved over their precedessors.

True. But at the end of Extremis, the Arduan seer said she lost contact with the seers of the other fleets through their link... DUN DUN DUNNNNN...

Also, so tempted to figure up the new tech for the game...

The book will be released in February of 2016 according to the Baen Schedule:
http://www.baen.com/schedule.asp

So expect an E-Arc somewhere in the October/November (possibly December) timeframe. Of course you just might want to save the money and get the bundle because Road to Hell come out the same month.
