Predictive Calirath Illiad class epic poetry. That is a great idea

Thank you for making me laugh today.

Razial is only 15 years old to Adrian's 17, and is a 1st rate poet to boot.

Predictive Calirath Illiad class epic poems for the war with Arcania, anyone?

No.
Janaki was activated by accident.
So, it seems, was Andrin.

Calirath Talent activation seems to be "as needed."
Almost as if Sharona's part of the Multiverse was
being consciously controlled, by something or someone.
:) ;) :D

For RFC to be revealed reasons, this is likely the maximum number of activated Calirath talents to support the house

1. The current emperor in this case Zindel chan Calirath.

2. Heir-Primus -- the now deceased Crown Prince Janaki chan Calirath.

3. Heir-Secondary -- Adrian Calirath, now grand imperial princess and current Heir-Primus.

With the death of Heir Secondary, we can expect another of the Calirath line to be "activated" as Heir-Secondary.

How much of that is "on-screen" in the next book remains to be seen, but we can now expect the middle daughter, Razial, to go through the Calirath Talent activation protocol.

A cite on this please, Howard. I am curious about the context and would like to research this more thoroughly.

Cite?
Well, Janaki first appears in one of the first chapters,
seen by two of his men in the grip of a Glimpse.
The younger of the two does not know what to make of it,
but the older nom-com has been briefed.
I see it is my own deduction, that this had not been
expected from the Crown Prince, or else all 117 of his
guard-platoon would have been told more.
Also grist for deductions, is that he is so far from
home, sent to the frontier because he wouldn't be
needed in Hawkwing Palace for twenty years or so. Neither
he, nor his father, nor Andrin, was warned otherwise.
That is the closest thing to textev that I can think of.

As for Andrin, her very strong gift "jest grew."
Or rather, that is how it seemed to me.
I do not know of textev proving either of my assumptions,
the way I have textev proving that Strike 2912 was part
of Myr's attack on Fort Salby, for instance.
Nor do I recall reading how old Andrin was when her Gift
manifested itself.

Looks like you caught me making assumptions, Peter.

NO problem, Howard. I thought I had missed something seriously large there for a bit.

So, the speculation that all Calirath Talents must be specifically activated is still a viable one based on text and some tidbits from the esteemed lopes-for-Apium graveolens-sphixus.

The Calirath Talent is Activated by Calirath house healers. I would guess that there is some limit on how or when the activation occurs, age limited most likely. Someone who is to old (more than a young child) either can not have the talent activated, or can't handle it when it is activated.

As for when a glimpse occurs, it seems to be triggered only by near future events which lead to human suffering (as noted in the text). The unfortunate meeting between Arcanan and Shoranian scouting parties has led to human suffering, therefore qualifying Janaki, and his father and sister, for glimpses.
