IIRC there was some comments made about the snippets in terms of "how many years have pasted since the prior book and this book".

It turns out that Leeana is around 93 years old at the start of this book.

It appears that when Tomanāk & Lillinara blessed the union between Bahzell & Leeana, that they gave Leeana the lifespan of a hradani. :D :D :D :D

Thanks for the explanation. Clearly, the child must not be their youngest.

Although it's elided a bit -- it's not something Kenhodan would have been interested in -- it looks as though the effect is transitive, as their coursers are still alive as well, but away visiting the Wind Plain.

Sorry, but she appears to be their first born.

We learn about this when Kenhodan is told about their personal history.

Apparently, his memories don't include the Saga of Bahzell Bloody Hand. ;)

Also, in both a minor spoiler and a minor data conflict, Brandark gives his age as 103 and states Bahzell is only a few years older. There is another comment about Walshorno and Bahzell having had 80 years together.

However, we know Bahzell is 25 years older than Leanna - he's 38 at beginning of OoS and she's 14 when they met early in WRO. If Leanna's 93, Bahzell should be 118, which would allow for the 8 decade of wind ridership.

Might Brandark be trimming his own age?

What Kenhodan remembers and what he doesn't didn't make a lot of sense.

Given that the source of said memories was artificial, why were they so obviously 'as of the beginning of Oath of Swords' rather than fully update with political knowledge as of then?

(Well, to enable RFC to explain all of the things that have changed in the last eighty years. It makes sense from a meta perspective, but seems rather inexplicable in-story)

In the latest snippet, Brandark says he is 123. This is in conflict with the text Brom O'Berin correctly cites from the eARC sample chapters.

This would make Bahzell slightly older compared to Leanna than he should be based on WRO and WRC. Unless Brandark misspoke in both excerpts and he is actually a few years older than Bahzell rather than Bahzell being the elder of the two.

These are unedited e-arcs. I believe Bahzell was 53-55 and Leeana was 20 when they married if we follow the timeline established in the prior 4 novels. That's consistent with Brandark's assertion that he is 123 and Bahzell's a few years older than he is.

Leanna had just turned 21. That's explicit. That puts between 6-7 years between Wind Rider's Oath and War Maid's Choice, and about 72-73 years between War Maid's Choice and Sword of the South, depending on time of year relative to birthday (which I'm not going to reread for more details to pin down more closely at this time).

Bahzell's age was not quite so well pinned down, but he was, IIRC, 40-something for the events of the first three books.
I think in WRO when talking to Leanna he says his age and that in hradani terms, he's not much older than she is, despite being chronologically older than Tellian. Don't remember exactly how old right now, and away from books.

As far as the age difference between Brandark and Bahzell, and which way it goes, it's never been mentioned previously in any sort of detail other than 'they're age-mates', so if there's an error somewhere, it won't be changing much to flip it around.
