Almost wonder if it would be more the reverse. Sonja being impressed with how Foraker got the performance she did out of the lower tech components "that hack was genius", while Shannon is thinking "well sure, if I had access to that toy I could have easily matched Hemphill's hardware" :D

I think Shannon is also going to have a lot of "Duh, why didn't that ever occur to me  "

For certain Johnathan and fallsfromtrees. It's obvious that on some level there's going to be a serious pissing contest between those two girls. Standing up for a change.

But out of that contest will yield high-tech high-tech. It's akin to two athletic minds being pushed. Challenged. Two geniuses bouncing ideas off of each other.

Their first powerpoint HD presentation intro will open up with "Oops, you can't handle the OOPS."

All high security Admirals looking on " :o Pandora and her sister are out of the box and playing at Bolthole."

Nearly everyone assumes, ahead of time, that Foraker and Hemphill will get along.

What if they don't? (I am now hiding from Roseandheather. :) ) Seriously, though, they are only two people.

Even if they do get along, there is the minor problem of finding the physical space for the Manties to get set up (including getting comfortable with the local security procedures), set up whatever machinery and prototypes they may have, and learn what Foraker can--or cannot--do. It is going to take TIME.

Which is boring for us, but not them.

Regards,

Rob

I was told that RFC has already said that Sonja and Shannon will get along like a house afire, though that info is secondhand.

I could imagine them getting on well enough to set a few other things on fire, too.....

(Yes, I am still championing a Sonja/Shannon romance and will until the end of time.)

Rachael Mayhew after she finishes Sag Island, and is on her middy cruise (either on a Grayson or Manticore ship)

I've been panting after a "Miss Midshipwoman Mayhew" short story (or POV-in-novel) since I first met the character.

Focusing on her romantic involvement with someone from the academy?

I'd really, like really, like to have the POV of Carol Warner, before she married Craig, regarding her being chased by Dimitri.

Hey, RFC really ought to give us a tidbit or two of the POV regarding a certain Dimitri Young as a naval commander. :o
