Jerry Pournelle’s Janissaries series is alive and well. Drop in to discuss it and — especially— the latest addition: Mamelukes by Jerry himself with a little posthumous help from Phillip Pournelle and David!

Huuuuuh  what are you planning to do with 60,000 characters?

60,000 characters is certainly enough alphabet to post a short story in the Free Range section ... to all of you writers and us aspirings.

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

I'm pretty much always around, so I know pretty quickly if the site is down. This was the first time I tried fixing the SQL error myself, so it took me a while to figure out how. Next time it happens the downtime won't be so bad.

Seconded.

Other than the SQL error, and of course the flag of this-here wonky thread we'alls posting in  , I don't recall having seen any issues during your tenure Duckk.
