That my copy arrived in store (indigo.ca) and I picked it up on the way home.

A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

He told you: Indigo

It's on the shelf at Chapters, too.

[and yes, I know perfectly well that that's not going to do you any good at all unless you live within driving distance of Vancouver or Windsor :P]

I think the Taterred Cover in Denver has it, but internal policy is keeping off shelves. Barnes and Nobel hasn't processed their Friday deliveries yet.

Depends on the store. I got a call from my local B&N earlier this afternoon that they'd received five copies. I picked up my copy, and and thoroughly enjoying it thus far.

No, I just bought mine from Barnes and Noble in the US. According to the employee I talked to it is not classified as a "strict sale date" release so the store can sell it as soon as they get it. This is usually not the case with the truly huge authors like Stephen King, JK Rowling, ect. Their releases are almost always "strict sale date."

Bought mine last night at the Barnes and Noble in Scottsdale, according to the sales clerk all the Phoenix area stores have it in now.
