I would like to start a thread to allow we posters to "perform" in hopes of getting snippets. Use your imagination, write a poem of any sort; a limerick, a hyku or sonnet. Beg or post some prose.

I'm thinking of something right now. All entries are welcome.

Do you think we'll get snippets at all this round?

Bra-effing-vo! Wonderful, Tonto, just wonderful!

Now please post a disclaimer so David doesn't get pissed for this bit of fanfic.

Not quite as long or as well done as Tonto's, bur here goes.

Snippets lure passions
David crafts passions' surfeit
Satisfy our passions, please!

There once was a writer named David
He had readers and fans quite avid
Snippets he gave to us
With nary a real fuss
Now the lack does turn us quite rabid!

I am having serious doubts if we will get snippets this time because RFC is so busy lately and he might not have time to post them. *BUT* if he catches up on his writing enough to rejoin our happy forum, I also have hopes that he would give us an extra long snippet to make up for his long hiatus. What do you think?

All of his Baen titles have e-ARCs made available before the publication date. Safehold titles do not. One hopes that if he makes one exception to the potential rule about not snippeting, he makes an exception for Safehold.

I am sure Drak will gladly execute whatever instructions David would care to lay upon him.

7 Days without a snippet makes one weak. Please sir may we have some more pudding (stares mournfully at the plate that still holds meat)

You can't have any pudding if you don't eat your meat!

How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?
