Happy Birthday you old fart. Keep on writing the good stuff. Don't write at the expense or your wifes health. Keep on explaining your worlds and fuck the dudes who talk about how you are too verbose.

Happy Birthday, DW.

Reading and listening to your books has provided me with entertainment, thought, and distraction from things I don't want to think about.

Happy Happy. hope its a great day. it should be a day for YOU so please ignore all things that are not for you, they can wait till tomorrow

Tomorrow is officially The Day, of course, but I appreciate the early best wishes. They remind me of what happened a few years ago, though.

Megan and Morgan have their birthday on October sixth, and they were born in 2001. So in 2012, I said to Megan, "This month you'll be eleven and Daddy will be fifty-nine."

Megan: "Nope."

Daddy: "Uh-huh!"

Megan: "Nope."

Daddy: "You two were born in 2001."

Medan: "Yep."

Daddy: "And 2012 minus 2001 is eleven!"

Megyn: "Yep."

Daddy [with the triumphant air of one who has proven his point with impeccable logic]: "So you guys will be eleven and Daddy will be fifty-nine."

Megan [with great patience for her dad's obviously incipient senility]: "Daddy, 2012 minus 1952 is sixty; it's not fifty-nine."

To the most honorable and esteemed Mr. Weber

Sorry to have missed sending in my wishes for the day  , but I hope it was happy :D .
I had long arraigned plans to take my wife to an interactive theatrical presentation in Baltimore (http://www.myedgarallanpoe.com/) and she kept me far too busy getting ready to get online.
I hope that you also were able to find something similarly fascinating and interesting to do (Greenville, it appears, has a lively live theater tradition: http://eventful.com/greenville/events/c ... rming_arts and I always recommend live theater (not movies) for celebrating special occasions!) to celebrate your birthday... or at least I hope you enjoyed some Cake and Ice cream!
Best (belated) wishes for a Happy Birthday to you!

David,

A wish for your year: that the words of your stories flow off your fingers and tongue, and the worries flow off your life like water off a ducks back...
