That is actually the illogical extreme. A single word snippet would likely drive commenters away, at least until some hardy soul put the separate words together into (at least) several paragraphs.

I would not try to make sense of a series of single word snippets; and Multiverse is currently my favorite series.

I don't think anyone was seriously proposing that. I interpreted it as a joke...

Don't get too relaxed. Baen once posted the full length of WoH as a snippet. yep, the whole thing - Arnold extracted the first letter of every word into a text file and gave it to us. Deliberately. This wasn't an oops, unlike another [in]famous incident.

Someone even spotted the repeated appearance of VASF and correctly identified it as Vice Admiral Shannon Foraker.

So, really, a word an hour isn't beyond the realm of possibility. And would give us 1-2 paragraphs a week, on average.

Michael,
that is what Jim Baen used to do, on Baen's Bar.
Some of us still remember that trauma.

It now seems to have been a long time
since a snippet was posted for *any* book. :(

But then, I have been paying little attention
to other books.

Yep. Snippets are apparently not a priority at the moment... Oh well, less than two months to HFQ!!! :D

I remember doing that. I did a search of SF and found many occurrences. I did a search for CSF, but the only occurrence was part of a longer all caps string. There were several occurrences of ASF and all were part of VASF.

So...if Return to Hell arrives in hardcover in Mar 2016.

What would be the normal timeline for Webscription releases?

2nd half of November: the Baen Monthly Bundle for March 2016 should be available for pre-order (until February 15, 2016 or so);
December 16, 2015: the 1st half of the books in this bundle will be available;
January 16, 2016: the 3rd quarter;
February 16, 2016: the complete books. At the same time the bundle won't longer be available, but only the single books.

Between earliest date of pre-order for the Bundle and publication of the 1st half of the books, the e-arc will come around ... (or at least I hope so ...)

Edit September 25th: If Baen makes it for the March-2016-Bundle like they did for the January one, the Bundle should be available for pre-order around November 25th or so ... counting from today: in about 8 and a half weeks or 61 days
