Yeah, the station is probably the safest bet. It does pump out a lot of missiles, so you should put it down as fast as possible. That means a couple of damage boosts plus 3 reloaders at a minimum.

Try to make sure that at least one of the reloaders is the L10 Ballistic Enhancer V since the reload on that is 0.64 as compared to a L10 Auto-Loader's (or a L8 Ballistic Enhancer IV's) 0.72.
Using the two aforementioned Enhancers also means you'll have full power for your department with 8,000 power points left over, thus no need to clog up spaces with Level Boosters.

Since less messages here questions about the components.

Sees power boost items only way to increase "markers" on a system.

items that reduce reload times are critical.

any recommend items as need to have? I have just gotten the second ship and started the 3rd sector. (and getting but whipped more often than not.

With my current end-game loadout I can drop that station in 3 salvos - and it dies before it's first salvo reaches me. But it takes advantage of the final, larger, ship as well as many live event items.

But this loadout make that mission marginally slower to farm than Den of Evil (1 extra salvo), but no more dangerous.

Ghost Ion Capacitor (power)
Ballistic Enhancer V (load speed & power)
2x Missile Tube Auto-Loader (load speed)
Quantum Thruster II (missile speed & reduced power)
Quantum Thruster III (missile speed & reduced power)
Variance Injector V (damage & reduced load speed)
Tactical Incinerator V (damage & reduced system damage)
Payload Projector (damage)
