I found another bizarre one. (v1.2 for iOS in case that matters)
Robotic ECM Integrator
lvl 3 = 1.800 ECM repair speed
lvl 4 = 1.100 ECM repair speed
lvl 5 = 1.120 ECM repair speed
lvl 6 = 1.140 ECM repair speed

So the progression is -.7, +0.2, +0.2.


Probably meant to be 1.08 for the lvl 3, that would make it a straight progression.
I also get the feeling some other odd ones have the same issue, 2 numbers switching places.

Just found out that Secret Fleet does NOT like it when you play around in Windows Notepad and copy the resulting file over. Tends to make the game freeze at the loading splash screen with all the ships.

Looks like Linux-based systems are the way to go.

Of course! ;) But besides that, I'd suspect new line handling. Not that that should be an issue with XML since it's all white space, but ya never know.

Were you able to make those upgrades to a light cruiser, or did you have to upgrade to the heavy cruiser first before you could max out the purple items?

I'm not sure if you can max those out without upgrading. I think you need your officers to be higher than level 10 to get components up past level 6 or 7 but I didn't try to level them all the way up in my CL.

(I'm checking what's available using my CL, but most of the per-level numbers were pulled from my other account which has the final ship; more room for components to level up, more resources, and all the upgrade accelerators to test them faster)

As long as you guys are looking at the settings. Can anyone tell me what Warnecke's stats were? Also, does it say how each missile type affects him?

I've also noticed that the space station at the end of the latest Live Event, when on hard, doesn't seem to be really damaged by the bomb pumped lasers or any of the missiles that take down defenses. I still got him in the end though.

Ok I went back to my light cruiser now that the resources had some time to build.

I was able to get a blue level booster up to it's max level (level 7), but everything else seems to require higher level officers to go past level 6; for example you need an lvl 12 officer to upgrade the other types of purple or orange components to level 7. And since the max officer level for the CL is 10...
