Now this is interesting. It looks like the promised change in loot drops went into effect. You don't always get a component, but if you do, it will be the same color as the box now.

I think you're right. I still get the occasional box without any components; just resources, missiles and/or conduit; but I can't recall seeing a lower color component in a crate since the data update yesterday morning.

With that change I've gotten quite a run of finding legendary components (most of them dups I already had; but still a nice change). I must have found at least 10 in the time I've played since that update.



On the whole I'd gladly trade removal of legendaries from the outposts in exchange for much better loot chances. (Although that's partly because I'd already bought as many of the ones for sale as I had use for :lol: )

I've been saving up all my legendaries to help equip my new Battle cruiser.....

Some update after July 2014 patches.

I am pretty new at The Secret Fleet, my understanding is that a recent patch changed the content of the outposts which seems to make it harder / require lots of farming / luck on drops. Many posted strats and help don't apply anymore (including some of the Saganami Island Academy post).

Hope this help.

Sector 1: Nemea Sector:
From memory, 2 outposts and each only have about 3 white components available.

ONLY Available here, buy 15-20 of these:

Sector 2: Enigma Sector:
Again from memory, nothing really useful, 2 outpost with mostly 3 green each.

Sector 3: Breslau Sector:
I remember nothing of value here, 2 (or 3?) outposts with mostly 3 green each.

FYI Unless they changed them again the outpost contents got changed July 1st, not the 10th.

(They rolled out two data updates that day; one was the outpost contents and the other was the end of that week's live event)
