I've seen that happen a bunch of times now. Where you get two enemy ships superimposed on each other. Sometimes I'll stick it out, because I find if you hit them once or twice they blow up.
On the other hand, the "two ships" occasionally alternate rolling their wedge, so that when the one is firing, the other is covering them both with its wedge. When that happens, you're done and retreat is the only option. It seems to happen when I run a lot of missions in a row. |

From: Captain Robins, CO HMS Dauntless (HMAMC Magellan) To: Chief Warrant Officer Jeff Litchford, Refit and Repair Command CC: BuPers Re: Possible Issues with the Salvage Crew Sir, Greetings from Bujiji, During our recent excursion into the Bujiji sector we successfully engaged and defeated multiple vessels. However, the performance of our salvage crews is most disconcerting. Many times they were unable to secure any components from the very rare cargo pod of a defeated enemy vessel. They were able to secure non-component items from the pod. Other times there were able to secure only a single uncommon component from a very rare cargo pod, with no additional items contained in the pod. The performance of the salvage crew in other sectors has always resulted in at least one component and some other additional items. Please advise as to whether the salvage crews are expected to perform to a different level in these short excursions. Thank you for you time and consideration, sir, Captain Robins |
