We do appreciate that you are doing so. Just as long as whomever is reading these posts remembers that some of us would complain if they got German Chocolate cake for dessert instead of apple pie after a meal someone else paid for.

SECONDED.

Also, *innocent whistle* certain board members' fantasies should be given all the weight and importance they deserve. I'll trust you understand exactly how much that is. ;)

In all seriousness, I for one am extraordinarily grateful you're bringing a series that has meant so very much to me to the big screen. I've heard wonderful things about Evergreen as a studio, and with RFC's involvement as well, I think the project will bring everything I love about the Honorverse to life.

A german chocolate cake? You sir are a barbarian, and only slightly less so than those utter savages who would eat apple pies... :D

Seriously though, as far as metaphors go, that is an excellent one - so long as you keep in mind that some people are diabetic, who might consume a slice of sour apple pie, but never chocolate.

Whomever they pick to play Honor, I'm certain will at least get rfc's tentative seal of approval, and that's plenty good enough for me.

finally, I do hope evergreen has plans to include Joe Buckley as a casualty cameo

Ooooh. Though it definitely goes against the grain for me to suggest a white actress for Honor, a part of me really, really wants to see Natalie Dormer in the role.

Actually, I just want Natalie in the film, full stop. She might do very well as Sonja Hemphill, in fact... or Alice Truman...

Honor fans have started speculating about who ought to play our favorite starship commander, and they've come up with some interesting ideas. Which of these talented actresses could you envision as Honor Harrington on the big screen? Feel free to suggest others in the comments!

- Hayley Atwell
- Kristin Kreuk
- Moon Bloodgood
- Peyton List
- Elizabeth Debicki

I'd take Jonathan Frakes from ten or fifteen years ago, but sadly I don't own a time machine.

I'd take Jonathan Frakes from ten or fifteen years ago too... *daydreams* ...sorry, did I say that out loud?

Speaking of our dear old TNG cast, I'd take Marina Sirtis from Nemesis to play Estelle Matsuko. Hot damn.

Ever since watching Gargoyles* years ago, I've hard a hard time not thinking of his characters as slightly-amoral extremely-competent plotters.

Do you think that's just how he planned it?
