Depending on specific charges, but yes. It appears that there was a one year statute of limitations on Attempted Rape and related offences in 1982.

I ask you be a neutral observer and take out your individual political beliefs and make a decision based on the evidence. Now, remember. Mrs. Ford makes the accusation of sexual assault and 3 different witnesses do not remember her at the party. Two, recovered members are highly suspect in a court of law. Three, the inconsistent testimony of Mrs. Ford and changing nature of her testimony.

Why would he remember one of many parties he was at 35 years ago? Hell, I don't remember most of the stuff I did 35 years ago. If he didn't do anything wrong, why would that one party stand out? I don't see that as proof of guilt.
