If he really did nothing wrong, why all the lies? Under oath even.
Why the building alibi's BEFORE he claims he knew? Why the abusive attack? No, Kavanaugh did it. His actions pretty much confirm it. Oh that's right, the right stuck their fingers in their ears and ignored the lies because to them politics trumps morality. "If you throw enough mud, some will stick" is a truism from house building. Back when mud was used. It's why bricklayers call cement "mud". It was the right that used it in a negative political sense. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Famous? So you are saying that the right doesn't sling shit in equal measure? Anyway, the point is that appointing and forcing through the nomination of someone in a controversy to one of the most important judicial posts sets a bad precedent. If Kavanaugh is innocent it's not fair to make him withdraw but it's not about fairness but what the consequences are for the judicial system down the line when it becomes even more politicized. Anyone flogging the idea that winning at all costs is a bad leader. I do believe that a certain meme promulgated by Tim Poole (independent reporter/commentator on the Youtube channel Timcast) could be used here. To those of us not directly involved, it's sometimes hard to make out the differences between participants due to the sheer amount of mud-slinging going on. ~~~~~~

Of course you do, false equivalencies work to the advantage of the right in the US. |

gc, this vid may help explain things... And I've noticed the same thing Tim Poole comments on. The (extreme/regressive) Left cannot Meme. ~~~~~~

Ok, I just sat through several minutes of the guy explaining in painfully obvious terms that it represented the left and the right blaming each other and being the same. Which is what I already knew. Which is why I said it was a false equivalency. What was watching that supposed to help me with? |

It seems the picture is missing a bunch of Spidermen. I'm not sure Tim's viewership counts as a representative group to draw any valid conclusions on although we all know that if someone is on the extreme right/left they tend to blame and demonize everything on the other side no matter the context. Also, what a President says matters. And if he demonizes people, if he "jokes" about perpetrating violence on others he WILL trigger some nutjob. So he has a fundamental responsibility to weigh his words and what actions they may inspire. --- Jack of all trades and destructive tinkerer. How, exactly, can it GET any more politicized?
ANY nominee Trump proposes will face exactly the same sort of 'controversy' as the Democrats refuse to allow him to 'win' a Supreme Court appointment. Trump could nominate a present-day Thurgood Marshall and they'd bury the poor guy in shit. If I was a potential Supreme Court nominee, I would seriously consider taking an extended vacation outside the country. New Zealand should be nice this time of year. ——————————— Count Piotr: "Where have you been, woman?" Cordelia: "Shopping! Want to see what I bought?" |

Sorry Imaginos, you're thinking of Republicans and Obama nominations
Kavanaugh is the second Trump appointee remember. But then you obviously forgot the fake sex scandal about Gorsuch. Oh wait, there wasn't one. Just like there wasn't one this time was there? Because, if you're going to fake a scandal you do it with the nomination you expect, not the one you don't know about, don't you? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
