Yep. It was the Japanese who so foolishly provoked America to fight "Roosevelt's War." Up until the attack on Pearl Harbor, most Americans wanted to remain isolationist. The smarter isolationists wanted to rearm, but the sentiment to remain neutral was very broad based. Most Americans were content to watch and eat popcorn as Hitler, Stalin and Tojo had their way with you little darlings.
That history should be a lesson to foreigners that come onto this forum to bash the United States because we have been the Global Cop for the last 70+ years. We are tired of expending American blood and treasure to secure oil supplies for Europe and Japan as well as China and India. The idiocies of overthrowing Daffy Gaddaffy so that France and Great Britain could have Libya's oil rather than china has done far more to destabilise the Middle East than the Iraq war. Inciting a coup in Ukraine so that the EU could expand was insanity that needlessly provoked Russia.
The Democrats might support NATO right now but watch them run away when the risk of a real war develops.
You foreigners better make contingency plans for being on your own.
