Putin must be laughing his ass off right now as he watches Trump rip all the US's traditional alliances to shreds, accusing Canadian cars of being a National Security Threat in order to justify the new steel tariffs under NAFTA, while simultaneously turning a blind eye to Russia.

This is all turning out great for him. He couldn't have possibly wished for a better outcome from his attack on the election.

As someone said (paraphrased), tariffs are used to protect the profits for a few rich while the many pays for it and gets poorer in the process.

I'm not sure Trump understands that the imposed tariffs are going to be payed by Americans, not the countries they are importing the goods from.

We're talking about the guy who thought the stock market going up reduced the national debt.

I'm going to go ahead and bet on no... he doesn't understand the practical realities of how tariffs really work either.

It's the next step that will be truely telling.
What happens with steel and aluminium.

Do countries like Australia, which are excempted so far, up their sales to America at the expense of other markets, or do they hold off incase they become subject to tarrifs.

And more importantly, does Russia.


They say with crimes to look for the motive and follow the money.

Well there they are, in spades.

He's talking about a blanket ban on importing Mercedes, BMW and Audi. Because you see Mercedes everywhere in New York but don't see Chevrolets in Berlin. I wonder if he has even considered why that is so?

After Trump announced yesterday he was going to "have some fun today" meeting with the grieving parents of school shooting victims, he then proceeded to actually meet with them and handle it exactly as well as you would expect.

In the words of one of the parents, who is also a vet... "it was like talking to a toddler".


Yep, sounds about right.

Trump is now publicly arguing on Twitter that he can pardon *himself*.

That would mean the President is literally above the law, and could commit any crime and not be held criminally accountable. It would basically make the president the King of America.

Which is, of course, what Trump actually wants to be and thinks he is.


He is also now absurdly tantrum-ing that appointing a Special Prosecutor at all is Unconstitutional. Somehow.

1. Stopped us from being a Mexican Toilet

2. Made scientific fact not political agenda matter again

3. Refrained from giving nukes to our enemies

4. Put the brakes on turning the USA into the "Communist-Lite of America"
