The Grand Leader was, reportedly, content with these humble words.

You know, we make a lot of fun of North Korea and its leadership's unceasing need to be complimented, but it's suddenly less funny when this is apparently standard operating procedure in the Trump administration.

That was just disturbing to watch on every level. And bio will no doubt claim comparisons to North Korea are "liberal hysteria" but they are entirely apt. Authoritarians and dictators are Trump's role models of "strong leadership", it's what he aspires to. He makes it clear constantly.

Expecting to see Trump execute his uncle with an aircraft gun any day now.

1. You can be a strongman dictator without being an insane psychopath.

2. The fact that Trump has not yet achieved authoritarian control is not in any way a rebuttal of the fact that he clearly desires it.

That would be a damn good trick.

I believe that they've all been dead for years.

I believe a Pope was also posthumously executed. He was at least tried and presumably if you've exhumed a corpse to put it on trial, you aren't going to exonerate it.

This is real.

https://action.donaldjtrump.com/inaugur ... _other_all

The pathetic man child running the country is so insecure the options his team listed for rating his first year were:

Great
Good
Okay
Other

NO negative options even provided.

Then they ask the same question about Obama's first year because to Trump it's not about his performance it's about being able to say he's better than someone else. And lo and behold! All of a sudden an extra "Poor" response option appears!

This is how you pander to a toddler. That is not hyperbole. Trumps team handles him as they would a spoiled child they're scared will act out if anything upsets him, not as an adult.

The man running the most powerful country on earth. That guy.

Hatch proudly re-tweeted a Salt Lake Tribune headline awarding him "Utahn of the Year".

https://twitter.com/OrrinHatch/status/9 ... 7927490560

The article rather clearly explains it awards the title to whoever most impacts the state "for good or ill" and they emphatically did not give it to him for "the good".

They call on him to retire, and for voters to retrieving if he doesn't go voluntarily. They shred him. A direct quote from the article on why he got it:

It has everything to do with recognizing:

* Hatch’s part in the dramatic dismantling of the Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante national monuments.
* His role as chairman of the Senate Finance Committee in passing a major overhaul of the nation’s tax code.
* His utter lack of integrity that rises from his unquenchable thirst for power.

As a big Trump booster we probably shouldn't be surprised that he only cares about the headline and either couldn't be bothered to actually read the article or deliberately misrepresented what it meant betting his followers weren't big readers either.

As part of their ongoing campaign to pretend Trump doesn't spend an absolutely absurd amount of time golfing they now appear to have a big white truck tasked to drive back and forth in front of the White House press pool cameras blocking the gaps in the hedges they were getting shots of Trump golfing through a few days ago (when be tweeted he was going "back to work")... while Trump is back golfing again.

Which the White House refuses to confirm even though everyone knows what he's doing.

FFS this is pathetic. How much more juvenile can this get?

...just out of interest, does the White House have anti-drone tech that applies when the drone is hovering a few meters above the pavement... say, just high enough to see over the truck?

Aparently various Trump and GOP websites have an error message for internal errors (error 500) along the lines of: Unlike Obama, we're trying to fix things not off playing golf.

Of course, the java is badly written meaning that the error message will never display.
