It appears that the humanitarian convoy is just that, humanitarian.

To the majority of Ukraine, he would be the villain. To the Russians and ethnic Russians in Ukraine, he would not be the villain, but some sort of hero sort.

That actually makes a bit of sense.
That trucks, ostensible there to transport “humanitarian aid”, were actually to be used to transport equipment out, and back into Russia.
Especially given the fact that, when the trucks were inspected at the border upon arrival, it was discovered that a number of them were practically empty.
Also it’s known that at a number of Ukrainian plants and industries were doing high level work for the Russian Defense department.
