So Trump's former campaign CEO and then White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon... also of "I am proud to provide a voice for Nazi's in my publication" fame... was just arrested for defrauding donors to a "Build the Wall" campaign out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

He joins the alumni of Trumpworld criminality...

  • Paul Manafort, Trump Campaign Manager - Bank Fraud, Tax Fraud, Conspiracy against the United States
  • Michael Flynn, Trump National security Advisor - Lying to the FBI about Campaign Russia connections.
  • Roger Stone, Trump Campaign Advisor - Obstruction of Justice, Lying to Congress about Campaign Russia connections, Witness Tampering.
  • Michael Cohen, Trump Lawyer - Tax Evasion, Bank Fraud, Lying to Congress, Campaign Finance Violations
  • Rick Gates, Trump Campaign Advisor - Lying to the FBI about Campaign Russia connections
  • George Papadopolous, Trump Campaign Advisor - Lying to the FBI about Campaign Russia Connection.
  • Chris Collins - FIRST Congressman to endorse Trump - False statements, Conspiracy to Commit Securities Fraud
  • Duncan Hunter, SECOND Congressman to endorse Trump - Embezzled $250,000 in campaign funds for personal use.
  • Sam Patten, Lobbyist - Illegally funneling foreign money into Trump Inauguration Committee
  • George Nader, Trump associate - Child Sex Trafficking
  • Etc...

The only swamp draining that has happened during Trump's presidency is all his criminal associates getting caught due to the increased attention on them... while Trump avoids prison only by virtue of "Can't indict a sitting president".

“Trickey Dickey” had his squad of “Plumbers” to handle his less then savory aspects of political shenanigans; the B.O.M. has certainly taken that concept to entirely new heights.
Take the recent attempt to cripple the US postal Service; to make write-in-voting more difficult. One must wonder which of his gang of felons was the architect of that little number, Roger Stone springs to mind!

Apparently, according to testimony given today, it was Mnuchin. And he's been at it a long time, the latest most egregious examples just being the most obvious.

A l-o-o-o-n-n-g list... Further, if we win this thing, the list will get much longer...

I'm just going to throw out a reminder that Barr made a desperate attempt to force a hand picked replacement to take over SDNY a little while ago and got blocked... and SDNY brought these charges.

Perhaps the most "interesting" part of this is that he was arrested by the Post Office

out of interest - what has been the general reaction in GOP circles?
'Nothing to do with us' OR 'vile conspiracy against a fine upstanding human' OR?

Well it seems that another of the B.O.M’s stalwart crew has decided to abandon his; one can only hope, sinking ship.
Kellyann Conway a member of his inner circle, has decided; less than two months before the Presidential Election, that the time had come to; as the old political saw goes, “spend more time with her family”!
Or just maybe being an insider, she knows something the rest of us aren’t aware of?

that's probably v true!

but I think that maybe in this one instance there may be an element of truth in that - given that George Conway [her anti Trump husband] is doing a similar thing with his good work with the Lincoln project.

It may be that in this instance like you said, there may be some truth in the old saw; let’s not forget that her daughter too, has made her antipathy to the B.O.M. quite openly and publicly.
Must make the breakfast table at the Conway house …interesting!
That said, there’s still the timing…
