You keep asserting this, despite Trump a) Not doing that in the past, b) Trump not doing that now, and c) Trump probably not being able to do it in the time he has left in office

I think it's interesting to observe yours.

After Benghazi a momentary uncertainty for a few days in reporting on root cause of the attack as intelligence was still coming in caused you and your ilk to vehemently support a years long rabip outrage peddling inquisition against the Obama administration.

The Trump administration was just revealed as having been lying for almost 2 weeks about far more clearly obtainable information, claiming no casualties US in the missile attack, and not a hint of outrage or even mild annoyance.

Your home planet must be in an alternate reality. Perhaps you should reserve such drivel for THE GORDIAN PROTOCOL forum?

In the meantime, read this:

https://www.cnn.com/2013/05/06/politics ... index.html

There is a profound moral destination between announcing that there were no casualties prematurely because traumatic brain injuries had not yet been diagnosed, verses refusing to deploy readily available assets to reinforce troops while they were under attack. The Obama administration even made up an excuse to relieve the admiral of the carrier battle group for attempting to intervene. Even more egregious was fabricating BS about an uncomplimentary Mohamed video to cover up a covert operation to arm ISIS terrorists.

1. There were no forces that could have intervened in time to make a difference.

2. What *could* have made a difference was increased security there before the attack started. Want to talk about the billion or so dollars in requested embassy security funding the Republican Congress cut from the Obama administration budget requests in the 2 years leading up to Benghazi?

I'm betting no.

3. The investigations ALL found there was no cover up. Yet here you are still lying about it.

The carrier off shore could have had F-18s with 20 mm cannon and a load of cluster bombs on scene within an hour.

The admiral was relieved, allegedly because of complaints about his insensitivity from the Captain of the Stennis who was still butt hurt about being castigated on his own bridge for gratuitously unsafe ship handling. You will recall the McCain and the Fitzgerald incidents?

USN SEALS in Tripoli were standing by and could have gotten on scene via non US aircraft but were denied permission.

A C-130 with a platoon could have been on scene within about two hours.

The Benghazi compund was not an embassy.
The Benghazi compound was not a consulate.
The Benghazi compound was the site of a covert operation that was handing out weapons including MANPADS to ISIS.

President Obama was aware of the attack but did not inform local commanders that the location of "the demonstration" about an obscure video" was his covert operation and was under attack not did he authorize US forces to respond.

I won't claim any special knowledge of this situation. But this was investigated 7 or 8 times by committees in a Republican led congress without finding wrongdoing or coverup. That leads me to the conclusion that right-wingers are throwing stuff at the wall, hoping that something sticks.:D

You think a viable response to an attack on a US facility where there could still be live US personnel for all they knew at the time is to *cluster bomb* the site?

No, they were not.

It was a diplomatic compound.

Nothing like a little indiscriminate bombing, right? If some innocent civilians die, so what. There's always more of them anyway. And forget about the rescue-personnel, they knew what they where doing trying to find victims.

And it's not like cluster bombs are illegal in the civilized world.. Oh, sorry..the USA weaseled themselves out of that treaty in 2008.

Seriously, how twisted do you have to be to advocate using cluster bombs in an area where there are civilians, rescue personnel and survivors??
