There are still some conservatives out there whose integrity deserves respect... George Will, David Frum, Steve Schmidt, Bill Crystal, etc. These folk understand the need to put country ahead of party.

It now looks like the threats to Ambassador Yovanovich's safety which were used to try to pressure her to leave Ukraine before she was pulled from Ukraine by Trump shortly afterwards when she didn't leave on her own were coming from Trump's own cronies operating in the country.

Let's hear how this is totally an ok normal thing from the regular apologist crew.

The weirdest part of this deal is that if Trump wanted her out, he could have just have removed her. She served at the pleasure of the president. For a guy who likes those words "you're fired!", he sure has a heck of a time of it...

Yeah but that publicly left his fingerprints on clearing the way for Rudy to go in and run the pressure campaign.
They probably would have preferred it if another excuse for getting her out of there had worked.

What I don't get is everyone who screeches about the whole impeachment is a witch-hunt and everything is made up.

If that's the case, the Senate could easily debunk the whole thing by calling in witnesses and verify the facts and come to the conclusion that it's without merit and at the same time give the Democrats a black eye.

But that's not what's happening, instead we have a GOP that runs around screaming "fake news" and "nope, nope" with the intent of not do any fact-checking at all. That type of behavior is something I'd expect out of people who doesn't want to take responsibility and are doing their damned best to keep the truth hidden.

As the old saying goes, there's no smoke without fire.
