Here's the irony, so many forum posters for the left are believing alleged allegations of sexual misconduct by Judge Kavanaugh, but ignore the domestic abuse charges for Representative Keith Ellison that is running for AG of Minnesota. What Hypocits? Where is the outrage? That's what I thought, these far left radical forum posters do not care because these are Far left Democrats. They protect their own!

A state AG is selected by popular election. If the prospective state AG is a proven douche-bag getting elected would be problematic. Judges to the Supreme Court are appointed by the president and has to face judiciary committee hearings which will determine if the appointment should go to the senate for vote where after a positive vote the president can confirm the appointee to the Supreme Court. On one hand we have an alledged abuser, who should fuck off and disapear if true, and the other hand we have an alledged rapist who should if true have his balls kicked through his throat. What's your problem smr? Victim blaming, or just democrat blaming? Don't bother answering. We already know that to you guilt or innocence goes more with political leanings than actual guilt or innocence. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I agree with Judge Jeanine that even if the conduct as described by the accuser is true, it does not qualify as sexual assault. The only caveat would be the context of age of consent which varies by state and time period. (Reminds me of a photo that Governor Palin once posted of her, Todd, Piper, and Trigg attending a wedding. Little Piper was wearing a tasteful but alluring dress that displyed the fact that little Piper had "grown up" before reaching age 16. She eclipses her mother LoL.) Of course this incident perfectly illustrates why we have age of consent laws and restrictions on drinking age. This incident as described reminds me of a guy I once knew whose seduction technique lacked all pretext of subtlety. He would simply walk up to girls at parties and ask "want to fuck?" Nine out of ten of them would throw beer on him but one out of ten would accept. He walked me through the statistical analysis that revealed that by minimizing the time invested in attempting to woo the ladies, he actually got laid more often than if he took time to be more subtle about seduction. I will agree that the description of the hand over the mouth is troubling as it might be an intentional effort to restrain and silence the woman rather than just clumsy groping. The friend jumping on top of them interrupted events before it could become unambiguous. Of course this incident as described demonstrates how the sexual revolution has created extreme confusion about what type of behavior is acceptable and what behavior is not. I have been binge watching old Perry Mason episodes from the 1950s and 1960s. The show reflected the old fashioned morality was very much operative but also the "socially acceptable" exemptions. Both men and women knew where the boundaries were and violations were not ambiguous. Women could easily avoid situations where they were more likely to be sexually assaulted simply by refusing to "compromise their reputation." The result was actually more freedom to flirt and explore possible romantic relationships than we have today. |

This is the conduct as described by the accuser: "Kavanaugh physically pushed me into a bedroom as I was headed for a bathroom up a short stairwell from the living room. They locked the door and played loud music, precluding any successful attempts to yell for help. Kavanaugh was on top of me while laughing with Judge, who periodically jumped onto Kavanaugh. They both laughed as Kavanaugh tried to disrobe me in their highly inebriated state. With Kavanaugh's hand over my mouth, I feared he may inadvertently kill me. From across the room, a very drunken Judge said mixed words to Kavanaugh ranging from "go for it" to "stop." At one point when Judge jumped onto the bed, the weight on me was substantial. The pile toppled, and the two scrapped with each other. After a few attempts to get away, I was able to take this opportune moment to get up and run across to a hallway bathroom. I locked the bathroom door behind me." What fucking planet do you live on where that doesn't qualify as sexual assault? |

What slush funds? What payoffs? And it seems you decided he is guilty without any tried evidence. So why isn't Kavanaugh guilty in your opinion? --- Jack of all trades and destructive tinkerer. Anyone who have simple solutions for complex problems is a fool. |

Yeah, Jeanine Piro establishes her credentials. With a lie.
Some piece of bullshit to make herself look better. Something she has a history of doing. Oh, and one interesting thing about her. She wants Jeff Sessions job. Now, how would one go about talking this particular President into making her the AG? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

https://thehill.com/opinion/finance/360 ... shush-fund Where is the proof? I am still willing to listen to her testimony but no proof or corroboration balanced against his record. He's innocent until proven guilty. If she does not testify on Thursday, Judge Kavanaugh should be voted on by the Judiciary Committee this Friday. This is a typical DNC trick that that these use against Republicans. The DNC thinks their going to retake Congress in the midterms and wants to delay the SCOTUS appointment.

Here's a thing smr is forgetting: a confirmation hearing for a SCOTUS seat is not a criminal proceeding. Whether or not Kavanaugh is criminally culpable doesn't matter there; it's a job interview, and just like any other job interview, it is possible to fail at it without any wrongdoing on the part of the person being interviewed.
Of course, such considerations do not matter to someone like smr, who will claim to know survivors of sexual abuse but not have any understanding for the realities of that particular crime and its victims. |
