I created 3d artwork of Alicia and Tannis and wanted to share it. I haven't seen any of it aside from the book covers ever.
Path of the Fury artwork: http://fav.me/d4ta80j Fictional In Fury Born cover based on the same artwork: http://fav.me/d4tau8y I couldn't find a reference to the hair color of Tannis. Hope I got it right. If not please let me know, since it can be changed rather easily on the 3d image. Cheers. |

Major problem - combat suited and under arms as you show them, they would never be giving a hand salute.

I don't know about that. I worked under an LCDR (navy O4) who insisted on salutes in the field.

He had a death wish and liked being targeted for snipers? Not to mention he was violating orders... "Who Dares Wins"

Not necessarily - the scene looks to me to be a non-combat scene, and instead appears to be onboard a transport vessel prior to a drop. In that case, this could be the end of the final briefing - only minutes before the actual drop: Explaining both why they are in armor and carrying their weapons (even if the cadre didn't normally carry rifles in that manner), while being unhelmeted at the same time. If that is the case, they could be rendering the hand salute to the Captain of the transport ship... and THAT would not be particularly unusual or improper under the circumstances.
