I have just finished "The Shadow of Freedom"
In fact, over the last few weeks I have read all 14 of the Honor Harrington direct series.
I am now officially in withdrawal. You can't see my hands twitching over my Lacs Graser mount....but they are. I am going to next check out the safe hold series, but please, please get on your duff and write the sequel to "Shadow of Freedom"

Actually, by my count you still have thirteen books to read in the Honorverse series. If your withdrawal is that bad, check out the rest of the books. You still have a lot of reading to do. Welcome to the forums, by the way. Hopefully, you'll pull up a stool and stay a while.

I must confess that I was extremely disappointed with this book when I read. It the "battle" where 5 RMN Rollands reamed 4 SLN BCs was an anticlimactic rout. The subsequent infantry action to free the Manticoran prisoner was an equally one sided battle.

However; upon reflection I realize that the near 100% hit rate achieved by the Mk-16Gs was the result of Lieutenant Abigail Hearnes brilliant analysis of SLN defensive capabilities based on downloads from captured ships. The infantry action was also attribute to her tactics and Mateo's skill.

As unexciting as the battles in this book may have been, they set the stage for Adm Henke to take the aggressive action that she is taking.

How about including another shower scene in the next book?

And here we all thought that you'd reformed.

Hi Stepenh

Welcome to the forums.

I started reading RFC's stories books in the Safehold series.

I hope you like that story as much as the HH series -- personally, I liked the Safehold story very much and am eagerly awaiting the 7th book :D

We all look forward to reading your posts.

One thing I would suggest is that you refrain from reading the Safehold posts before having read the story first -- in order not to spoil the story for you !!

Enjoy !!!

I have read all of the Honor Harrington and Honorverse series and enjoyed them all. In fact I have read them two or three times now. I like David Weber, Eric Flint and John Ringo.

::a Naughty Moose suggests::
How about a scene in which a full-uniformed
cleaning-person is *scrubbing* a shower?
A male cleaning-person!

I want to see what happens when the ISLN tries to stop Beowulf from seceding.
