To be pedantic, you need a *micro* B cable. mini-B's kinda fallen by the wayside.

Also if you have any phone or other device with a detachable power cord, that's almost always a fully usable data cable when plugged into a computer.

There was a USB cable and a wall-plug adapter with the Kindle Fire I got for Christmas.
